Buy One Get One for 99 Cents = Buy one pair of socks for $8.00, Get another pair of socks for 99 cents. I can't believe that you are so dumb that you could not figure that out. I think you were just making a scene to try to get everything in the add for 99 cents without first buying an item at regular price! For you to cry rip off over your own botched stupidity is ridiculous. No wonder the manager didn't want to waste her valuable time dealing with you.

And people wonder why there are so many ridiculous disclaimers on items these days! I too was at JC Penneys this last weekend, and also saw BOGO offers throughout the store. Most of us out here are intelligent enough to realize that BOGO offers are just that....Buy one at regular price, get one at a reduced price. The sign didn't say 'clearance', which would indicate that the prices are drastically cut for inventory reduction. If you want socks for 99 cents, try the dollar store, because you're not going to find them at Penneys. This doesn't mean that JC Penneys is a rip off, it simply means that you chose to read the sign and look for a way to get something for nothing. This is on the same lines as suing McD's for your coffee being too hot! The cost of scams like this trickle down to other consumers in the form of higher prices for all of us because people like you want $8.00 socks for 99 cents.......

I have that ad in my hand right now and I don't see how anyone could possibly not understand that it means buy one item at the regular price and get the second item for 99 cents. This is a promotion that JCPenny runs all the time. It is not a rip off, you just didn't understand it.
