JD Byrider - CNAC ripoff! payoff on the way, let's repo the car. Pearl Mississippi
I bought my 1999 Mazda last October. I had the car for a week when the check engine light came on. JD Byrider check it and claimed they replaced some parts.
Well the light never did go off. One of my employees bought a car for them as well and she had the same problems. Now, three weeks ago, I started looking for another car.
I found a dealer who would take the car as a trade-in. On 8/7/04 the dealership called JD Byrider and asked for the payoff amount. My new car dealer told Victor that on monday morning they would have the balance due on my car.
JD Byrider agreed. Victor(loan officer/CNAC) call me at work and stated that I should have talked to them about trading my car. I told him that I didn't need his permission to trade my car. I told him that the car will be paid in full on monday.
JD Byrider had other plans. This morning while at work they repo the car. I called them and ask why they took the car. They said that, I was a day late on my payment. Now they told us yesturday that the payoff would include this payment. My other dealer is mad with them. Not to mention I have a $500 radio in the car that I'm paying for with a loan company. Help!

GO ON LINE AND FILL OUT A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE BBB. pRINT A COPY AND FAX IT TO YOUR ACCOUNT REP AND TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE IF IT IS NOT A FRANCHISE. THEY WILL BRING THE CAR BACK TO YOU...TRUST THAT. SOMEONE IS NOT WATCHING WHO IS REPOING CARS. THEY WOULD HAVE NEVER PAID TO REPO IT HAD SOMEONE THERE KNOWN YOUR PAYOFF WAS COMING. HEADS WILL ROLL WHE YOU DO THIS. I WAS A MANAGER FOR THE COMPANY FOR QUITE A WHILE.
