Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My fiancee and I are purchasing a 1994 Dodge Caravan from them. Our deferred down payment of $500.00($250.00 one week and $250.00 two weeks later)was not due until April 1, 2004. Before I could make my first $250.00 payment, my four children, my fiancee, and I were in 50mph traffic when the car just stopped and there was an 18-wheeler behind us. I called and spoke with Wayne and he told me I didn't have oil in it. Well to make a long story short, I wanted to give them back there van.

Vanessa at CNAC told me I would still have to make the payments and I didn't have the van 30 days. So, I kept the van and made payments on time every two weeks of 152.90. When I lost my job last month though, they were very rude and uncompassionte. My fiancee and myself had to borrow money to pay the note. We even paid by check even though we told her that it would be NSF. She didn't care. She even sent someone to our home when the check did come back NSF. And on top of all that, the box that's installed in all of their vehicles are crap.

Everyone has an unfortunate period in their lives. If you don't make an on time payment, that little black box would shut your car down until you go get a new code. Right now the van is sitting there until we come up with $397.90. I'm just disgusted with the whole thing. If they are out to help people then why are hard-working honest people getting majorly screwed???!!

Question... how you can justify your belief that you should be allowed to drive a vehicle you are not paying for?

Please explain to me how you can justify your belief that you should be allowed to drive a vehicle you are not paying for? Did you know other car dealers / finance companies would have had your car repoed long ago and then charged you for it. If you had stood your ground and returned your car during the dip payment time period you would not be in this mess... I only mention this for those who are in a position to use the knowledge. Never pay a check you know will NSF... it hurts your credit rating and they will probably end up charging you an NSF fee. I can only suggest you pay what you can, when you can so that the ammount you owe doesn't get any worse... if you are trying to get the black box turned off. Good luck.
