Mr. Thomlinson is a realtor who arranged a home inspection for his buyer with the representation he would cover (or pay) for the inspection. At his request, I performed the inspection. When the transaction closed, Mr. Thomlinson failed to disclose the outstanding service fee to the title company so the title company didn't include payment in the distribution of funds. When I contacted Mr. Thomlinson to discuss payment, he indicated I needed to go to the buyer for payment. When I talked with the buyer, he insisted Mr. Thomlinson would be paying for the inspection. In my view, Jeff was representing the buyer, I provided an inspection service and six months later haven't received payment.
