Jennifer Furniture Leather Furnture Shedding its skin like a Snake! Ft. Lauderdale Florida
I bought a complete set of leather furniture from JenniferFurniture in 2006. It has been used 5 times since its purchase sitting in my guest room. I have no children, and am very pro active in maintaining my goods. Last week I had guests and one of them approached me and said "I am very sorry, but when I got up from my seat I noticed a big bubble forming under my seat that looked like cracking...I didnt see it when I was sitting down...to make a long story short the party came to a halt when everyone started to check to see if they had caused any damage by sitting on the furniture....multiple sites were found where the "leather" which was less than the thickness of a single ply toilet paper was just cracking or peeling off!!
I contacted jennifer about the issue. Simple reply was that "it is a manufacturing defect which is no longer covered". I brought in a upholstere - he said this is not leather - but what is called Nagahyde which is considered fake and it does have the tendancy to peel off as such.
Jennifer customer care is contineuosly trying to send me letter from the manufacturer stating it is real leather!!! I told them Leather lasts for years (especially when not used)....if leather fell apart as easily as your furniture does then men would need a new pair of shoes daily, and women a new purse weekly!
To make a long story short, they will not do anything about it....I am letting everyone I know not to ever buy from these people.
