Take them to court. There are several cases in which the courts in Nebraska favors the victim. These cases are important because it sets precedent in how courts rule. One precedent involved H&H Chevrolet in Omaha and it went to the Supreme Court in Nebraska where it was ruled that H&H had to pay damages to the victim. I put my vehicle in GM dealership down in Nebraska City, Nebraskain 1998 or 1999. While it was being held there, it was broken into and over $1000 worth of stereo equipment and CDs were stolen. I took them to small claims court and was successful in winning. They appealed and we went to district court(?) with attorneys. I won again and they had to pay me over $1100 for the damages while the vehicle was in their possession. That's why they say that possession is 9/10ths of the law!! Post your questions if you want more information about how to start the process! I would be more than happy to post the information I know.
