On April 14, 2009 I bought an authentic Brinks sign and decals from fnm1979 on Ebay. When my items failed to arrive, I contacted fnm1979 and he/she gave me a tracking number to use when I contacted Brinksn to inquire about the delay. A representative of Brinks stated that they do not deal with Ebay at all. I then emailed fnm1979 and informed him/her of this. The seller claimed that he/she would contact Brinks. Because of the 100% feedback fnm1979 had, I believed he/she would keep his/her word and see to it that my package would arrive. Fnm1979 kept in contact with me until May 25, 2009 because he/she knew it would be too late for me to file a complaint about an unrecieved item. Fnm1979 has not returned my emails since then and has ripped me off for $31.00. The seller does not currently have anything listed on Ebay and most likely because he/she has a reputation of ripping people off and has been getting away with it for some time now.

I get calls like this every week because of some secuiryt item they bought on ebay. Here is why you should not buy these types of items on ebay: 1. I doubt Brinks really knows that the individual selling Brinks signs and decals is actually doing this without also installing a security system.. Having been in this industry over 22 years now I can tell you, never would I sell my signs or decals. You would however get them for free if you install a system of ours or we monitor your system. The reason being is that we do not want police to be calling us for a system we know nothing about or when there is no system. Second, we take great pains to make sure no one can duplicate our logo's or anything of likeness unless they want to be sued.Third, it puts our repuation on the line just like it did for brinks in this case. 2. If you buy a used security system you should know that many systems are locked out by a installer code so you would be unable to reprogram the system yourself and in some cases could not even hire a professional company to reprogram it for you. 3. If you ever have a company sell you a system and monitoring READE THE CONTRACT. Most all of the contract auto renew. Read the entire contract and do not sign it unless you understand everything. If someone is trying to tell you or encourage you not to read it then chances are you should walk the other way. Always ask to see the monitoring contract before you sign any installation contracts. 4. Make sure the company doing the installation is insured. Ask to see a copy of their insurance. I provide such papers when I am selling the system. 5. Always look at the total cost of the system. This means if a company is installing a system for $199.00 and then charging you $40.00 a month for monitoring for 3-5 years you need to add those cost together. Many times if you want something in addition to their "standard" installation you will pay a much higher price per device. Know these cost up front. Compare the true cost of each proposal. Never let someone give you a installed price without looking a your home or business first. Each site has its own challenges and enviromental issues that must be addressed to give you a honest price. These are just a few suggestions I have for anyone wanting to install a system. Always get three proposals and compare them all. Make sure each part is spelled out with quantities and part numbers. Never accept a generic bid. If you do you may have no recourse if something is different than what you expected.

If you're gonna file a rebuttle at least be honest about it. I informed you from the start that there might be a problem with delivery to that address. If I had recieved the yard stake and the decals I certainly would not have phoned Brinks to ask about my order nor would I have questioned Ebay and Paypal to file a complaint about not recieving the items! And for the record, I NEVER refused to change my Paypal address! When I phoned Brinks, they said they had no record of an order going out to me. Naturally they wouldn't have a record of an order being returned especially since I don't even have that PO Box anymore! Instead of keeping your facts straight, you publically fabricate your own version about what's happening. I sent email after email and you refused to respond for more than a week after the time to file complaints expired on Ebay. Fortunately Paypal provided me with some info on where to take it from here if necessary. When you finally did respond, you claim that you've been vacationing in Europe and didn't respond until AFTER I reported you here on ripoff.com. Since I never recieved the first set, there's no way on earth I'll have TWO sets by the time the one arrives. Had you let me know what was going on, I never would have filed a report against you in the first place.

Lorna Fioretti, I had shipped your order, 108501438200904171341, to: P.O. Box 92133 Henderson, NV 89015 As you had on your Paypal address. Then, several days later AFTER I had sent the item, you ACKNOWLEDGED that that address has some problems from time to time (though you refuse to change your Paypal address) and for me to send it to a different address. Well, I had already shipped the order, and I called Brinks several times to confirm it was delivered, and they say they have no record of it ever being sent back, so that means it was sent to that PO BOX. Now you publicly slander me (even though I have over 212 positive feedback and 100% rating on eBay), falsely accusing me while you fail to reveal the whole truth. I have now ordered you another set to the address you want, confirmation 108501438200906241401, to your Pet Place, 1018 W Sunset Rd Henderson, NV 89014. Now you should have your TWO sets of stakes and EIGHT decals, instead of the one stake and 4 decals you paid for.
