Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Beware, especially women, of John Anthony Marsh of Duluth, Georgia. If you are approached to invest in any business ventures such as medical services (i.e. Insured Health Care, Dental, Vision) targeting the hispanic community, a publication (Friday Mornings Publications) beware. He targets women and persuades individuals to invest and lend their names to bogus "business deals". The entire conversation about being a former preacher, millionaire (Spectacles Plus), owning mansions and luxury cars is to lure you in and gain trust. I would tell anyone do your research, go to the Gwinnett County Courthouse and DeKalb County Courthouse review cases, I wish I had.

One may wonder where did his money go, how is he making it? Answer:

Living off of others and not repaying large sums of money. John's lies are so extensive, unneccessary and thought out it would amaze. Vehicles of all types, homes, loans, equipment, cash money all attained by John Marsh through other peoples names and credit and never repaid- it is estimated he has now collected close to $100,000 this year.

The camp and after school scams of Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA (Ivy League Sports) left college kids with bad checks they couldn't cash and families out of payments and no service. In both scenarios John Marsh skipped town.

I want to warn anyone dealing with this individual to beware, do not invest, do not offer your name based on promises of a lucrative business deal with John Marsh, it will never happen. You will find yourself in a financial mess, paying for vehicles he has abandonded or worse your credit ruined or fraud and John will be on his merry way to the next victim.

Please note if you have been wronged he can be reported to

Greensboro, NC -- Some viewers called and emailed WFMY News 2 to get answers about America's Best Vision Center, also known as Premier Family Vision Center in the Triad.

You may have seencommercials for thebusinesson WFMY News 2. The company advertised on our air.

Gary Surratt and others say they paid hundreds for glasses and never received them. "I want my money back, or I want my glasses," said Surratt. "That's all I'm asking for."

Now a city of Burlington spokesman tells WFMY News 2 thebusiness owner, John Marsh, did not have a business privilege license. The license is required to do business in Burlington.

Two state boards report they're investigating the vision center.

Director for the North Carolina Board of Opticians, Sue Kornegay, tells WFMY News 2 Marsh's business is under investigation, but would not give details.

She says eye glasssellersmust be licensed opticians unless they work in a practice owned by an optometrist.

Marsh is not a licensed optician according to the North Carolina Board of Optometrists. Executive Director John Robinson sayshis board is investigating Dr. Heriote D. Boyles Jr., the optometrist who practiced at the vision center.

Robinson says the toughest penalty his board could enact would be to revoke Dr. Boyles Jr.'s optometrist license. Kornegay says the worst penalty her board could hand out would be fines.

Robinson said he suspects Marsh "shuffled things around" to avoid authorities.

Marsh did not return phone calls or several messages fromWFMY News 2on Thursday, even after we stopped by his business. Dr. Boyles Jr. was not reachable.

WFMY News 2 recently investigated the closure of a summer camp that Marsh ran. Read about ithere.
