John Beck's Free and Clear Plan advertising in Chicago on a local popular cable channel. Just wanted to say thanks to RipOff Report and all the folks who keep their ideas posted on here. I was about to call and order the program which was being advertised at 7:00 a.m. while I was up getting ready to go to work. I decided to check out ripoff report.com before I ordered it just to be safe. Instantly I said UH OHH. From the sounds of things I saved myself alot of money and frustration!

Thanks again!

Credit Card Companies And Fraudulent Companies.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, August 11, 2004

Hey there Scott along with Everyone else, I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirit and health. I am really glad to hear that yet another person have been saved from possibly being scammed out of thousands of dollars. My gripe today is regarding MBNA. MBNA is a lousy credit card company at best. About a year ago, I disputed a couple of charges regarding the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute and their fraudulent "mentoring" program. The John Beck course is a flat out scam and nothing at this point can prove otherwise, or else they would have won the dispute. Instead, the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute kept submitting ridiculous items on their behalf, all of which had absolutely nothing to do with a "quality of service" dispute, or worst yet, nothing at all to do with the reason I disputed the charges. Contracts, invoices, receipts, etc, etc, are all considered solid documented proof, if and when someone ever denies ordering a program or enrolling into a program, however, all of these items have absolutely nothing to do with a fraudulent company not being willing and or able to render the services, in which they are selling. I have NOT ONCE denied enrolling into the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring program, so for this fraudulent company to even attempt to drag the dispute on for as long as they have, by submitting nothing but rubbish and constantly having them pass as legitimate counters, clearly demonstrates their desperation and intent to steal money with their scam. This fact also shows the unfairness and unprofessionalism in the "investigation" of MBNA's dispute process. What would make matters even worst, is if MBNA still allows charges by the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute to go through. If so, this would be a clear and a very accurate indication of MBNA's blatant disregard for consumer protection. It would also give consumers the impression, that MBNA condones deceptive trade practices, misrepresentation, fraud, and the like. Till this day, not even a single apology from MBNA, for allowing the fraudulent charges to go through, even when they were aware, that the John Beck Mentoring Institute was a bad merchant and their services fraudulent. I've been flat out told by a woman in MBNA customer service, that the John Beck Mentoring Institute was a bad merchant, that received many complaints. So my question is, why do credit card companies continue to allow charges from fraudulent companies to go through? Shouldn't the red flag have been raised after a few consumer complaints? I will probably never receive an apology from MBNA for literally allowing this $hit to happen to me, because any apology would be an admission of guilt and they know d**n well they nearly screwed me big time. Now that the dispute is over, I wish that MBNA would help me receive some compensation from this scam company, for all our time in which they've wasted. Not to mention all the headache, deadlines, stress, aggravation, stationary, postage, computer ware, lost wages, and everthing else related to the recovery of my money. I really wish that credit card companies would do just a little more on their part to protect consumers. It's really not that difficult and requires just a little bit of common sense. Credit card companies have the total ability to literally stop fraudulent businesses dead in their tracks. For one thing, NOT so freely issuing merchant accounts would be an awesome start. MBNA also needs to implement some standards and requiremnents for businesses to obtain merchant accounts! There is absolutely no way for any company, that has once lost a dispute, for whatever reason, possibly be legit to others. Especially if the company has proven absolutely nothing to the contrary, while at the same time, makes no attemt to resolve any of the complainsts against it. Any and all companies, that are unable to prove it's worthiness and legitimacy in a simple credit card dispute, can in no way win a lawsuit in a court of law, unless that is, their "crooked" hired "hitman" attorney is attempting to pull off a victory via some kind of discrepancy or technicality. I am very disapointed and lost tremendous faith in MBNA to say the least. They are doing much to little to protect consumers from scams. Until next time, take care Scott and Everyone else cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.
