Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I received a call from a lady named Konnie on Feb. 25th, 2014. She stated that she was with John Casablancas Career Center, and wanted me to know if I was interested so, I agreed to the audition. On Feb. 26th When I got there I signed in and was put in a dressing room full of women.

The audition started a few minutes late and began with a photoshoot consisting of one headshot and two bodyshots. Then I sat at a desk with the co-director as she asked me a few questions about how bad I wanted to act/model, and what my grades were in school (not that that's any of their concern.) Then I and my fellow audtioners were taken to a room with a catwalk and made to wait for at least thirty minutes while they were taking photos of the people behind us.

Finally, we got started with the second part of the audition where the "officials" of the audition bombarded us with meaningless information about their awards, how they've been at their current location for twenty-five years, promises of jobs, how long they have been in this "business" (if you can call it that) etc. After they were done "talking themselves up" they had a few talents get onto the catwalk and pretend to do a laughtrack, as well as, get the rest of the talents involved with this... unprofessional and overly friendly act of selling themselves.

After we "had a good laugh," The co-director demonstrated how to walk on a catwalk, (stay on your left side) and then had us walk out until they qued music for us to walk back in pose for the "judges" and continue to clap for the rest of our peers after we had finished. After we were done modeling the co-director said she and the two other women that "judged" us will be back after they compare notes. when they returned they broke us up into three groups, one group for each official. After I was told I made the callback I left to do more research on the company only to find out that almost EVERY SINGLE REVIEW was anywhere between bad to horrible.

I decided not to go for the callback on Feb 27th and did not call to cancel. At six o'clock that evening I was contacted by my official and was promptly scalded for not showing up, she also gave a guilt trip stating that she had to get a babysitter. When I told her the reason I did not call, nor come in she asked me why and persistantly asked me why continuing to raise the tone of her voice. I told her not to call again and hung up. She called me three to five times within the next MINUTE after that. She continued to persist that I come in and discuss my reviews, as if it was imperative to my future that I come in and see what they thought.

When I finally agreed to come in that night (mind you I had one prior engagement at seven o'clock and just got out of a birthday dinner with my mother) When I arrived and she finally came out of her office she acted as if nothing had happened and was buddy buddy with me like we friends. we discussed everything and after tons of flattery, and sweet talk I finally left and that was the end of it.

Out of everything, the best part about this circus was being a "model" for ten seconds of my life.
