I put an add on Craigslist in April 2016 looking for a contractor to do cement work.  A man claiming to be “John Patricina” called me.  “John Patricina” told me he owns Superior General Contracting. We discussed the work on the phone.  John Patricina sent a man named “Jay” to my home to review the work.  After “Jay” left “John Patricina” called me back.  “John Patricina” wanted $5,500 dollars to do the job.  $3,000 dollars up front and $2,500 after the job is done.  I agreed.  My mother allowed me to use her credit card to make the initial $3,000 dollar charge.  “John Patricina” charged the entire $5,500 dollars to the visa.  His contract said he would only charge $3,000 up front.  I had no choice but to roll with this and let him do the work.  30 days later I had no work done. I kept getting excuses from weather to a relative that died.  “John Patricina” told me he did pull a permit so I went to the city of Taylor and got a copy of the permit and the permit application.  I then found on those documents that “JOHN HOUSTON FLOYD” was the name of the construction person on the documents.  I did some research and found that “JOHN HOUSTON FLOYD” was an ex-con.  I saw his picture on OTIS.  “John Houston Floyd” was also the man named “Jay” that “John Patricina” sent to my house.  So now I went to the Better Business Bureau and found that “John Houston Floyd” actually owns Superior General Contracting.  I then did a lookup on the internet to see who owns leadersincontracting.com.  I found that “JOHN HOUSTON FLOYD” owns this too. In fact, the phone number listed on the registrar information of the website owned by “John Houston Floyd” is the phone number of “John Patricina” that I have been talking to.  I started accusing “John Patricina” on the phone that he is really “John Houston Floyd” and scamming me.  Multiple and Multiple times over and over the man threatened to sue me saying I was making this up, lieing and slandering him.  I called the company that rents him floor space.  He sub leases virtual / physical office space from a company called Regus in Troy, Mi.  I asked a lady there named Beth, what she knew about Superior General Contracting.  She said they existed and that “John Patricina” was the owner.  She said she has met “John Patricina” and seen him in the office there.  I emailed Beth a picture of “John Houston Floyd” from the OTIS Site.  I asked her if she recognized him. She said yes that is “John Patricina”.   I told her no that is “John Houston Floyd”.  So now I have confirmation they are the same person.  I told “John Patricina” multiple times I knew he was really “John Houston Floyd”. He always tries to scare me saying he will sue me for saying that.   Finally after 2 months of accusing “John Patricina” on the phone that he is really “John Houston Floyd” he confessed to me that he was really indeed “John Houston Floyd”.  I have proof of his confession too.

 John will argue that he keeps trying to do the work for me.  He had 30 days to do the work.  Many times he told me he was on the way and never showed up.  At this point I cannot take any more lies and will not let him do the work even if I knew he would do a great job.  He never shows up to do the work.  He constantly delays and pushes back.  He will say it rained all in the month of May.  Yes it rained in May but not enough to never have the work done at all.  At this point if I let him start it he most likely would not finish the job. I have no confidence in him now.

John will also argue that he tried to refund the money.  He says he tried to refund the credit card that was used and that it declined to refund because the card # was invalid.  We did change the credit card # because of John however, Chase Bank says the he should have still been able to refund to the old card number.  It would have linked to the new account number for a refund.  Also, the card had expired.  John used that excuse too.  Again Chase Bank says that he should have been able to process a refund.  I argued with John Floyd many many many times trying to get my money back.  He offered to meet me multiple times and give me cash back to resolve the situation.  He never would show.  He offered to come to my house multiple times and again never would show.  He offered to mail a check to me. He actually sent a package but no check was in it.  He has every excuse in the book and tries to make it sound like I am being difficult. 

John loves to twist everything around and blame me.  He loves to bring up the fact that I have filed bankruptcy.  He says I am a thief because I filed bankruptcy.  People have money problems and bankruptcy is legal so I dont want to hear that crap.  This man is grabbing peoples money and just running with it and what I did was legal and needed.

John will act like he is trying to refund my money and doesnt know what else to do.  He wants my moms new credit card #, that isnt happening because we cant trust him.  He has told me to go open a new bank account and send him the routing and checking # so he can wire transfer the money to me, that isnt happening he could steal what little I put in there.  The man has said that he sent me a check in the mail.  He actually did send a package but there was no check in it.  He has said he would meet me countless times to give me cash and resolve this issue.  He always bails and never shows up.  Even tho the credit card dispute has been filed it is only a temporary credit so I have been fighting with John to make sure I get a permanent credit or refund. The bank says I can still settle this with John which is what I keep trying to do.  Now the guy wants me to sign a legal doc that is a mile long. I told him no in so many words then he sends me a short version of the doc lol.  It says something about I would cancel the dispute once he pays me but then says crap like it releases him of any civil or crimial violations.  Read for yourself down below.  I actually offered to sign this but told him he had to meet me face to face and put cash in my hand for me to sign this.  This guy has every excuse in the book for not getting work done... but when you want your money back he says ok your the one canceling now... or says we could of done the job by now.... I will never ever trust this man.

Here is another interesting note, if you look at his website leadersincontracting.com you will see the Chief Financial Director is Stephanie Gobie.  John is married to a Stephanie Floyd,  I found this by searching facebook.  I just looked for Stephanie Floyd in Michigan and found pictures of John on her page.  I found it interesting because her maiden  name appears to be Gobie.  If you find the right Stephanie Floyd the facebook link will have the name Stephanie Gobie in it.  Interesting huh?  I cant say she is part of the scam and I am not accusing her of anything or saying anything bad about her but I do find it strange that her maiden name is listed as the Chief Financial Director. 

Here is a good laugh for you... John wants me to sign this.   I actually would have signed it had he met me in person but he refused to do that.   I actually will extend an offer on here right now... if he can meet me with cash and bring this document below then I will sign it.  He wont meet me and I am sure he will read this.
