Unfortunately, I am another victim of John Klinker and G.V. Management.  After renting for 18 months I finally had to move out.  The Owner of the building showed me a clean, older apartment.  The first year was peaceful and uneventful.

Things changed in the winter of 2013, when my apartment would not get above a room temperature of 59 degrees, on and off, for 6 weeks.  As I had in the past, I called Mary, who always answers the phone, and she said that she was out of town and would have Dan, take care of things, the following day.  One week later, I called again to discuss the heat, and she said she would have Dan come right over.

I met "Dan", who was John Klinker, who represents himself as a caretaker, not the building owner.  John met me there, and noticed that my kitchen window, was open and that was reason my apartment was so cold.  My kitchen is in a separate room (5' x 7') with a door, and I have to leave the kitchen window open a crack, when I cook, because any little grease or smoke, sets off the 27 year old fire alarm. I suggested that he clean out the radiator lines, since on a day that was -10, you can put your hand on the fins; John said that he cleared the lines on the upper levels, and changed the subject, by telling me he used to be a Certified Boiler Maker.  He is a complete idiot, and does not understand gravity.  I spoke with several tenants on the 2nd and 3rd floor, and they said their apartments were so hot, they had to open the windows, while my windows had 2" of ice built up.

 John sealed my windows with 3M plastic, and loaned me a 120 volt floor heater.  He said that he would work something out with my for the inconvenience. When things warmed up, I called for 4 weeks to discuss the "work something out" deal, and sent him 1/2 months’ rent and a letter, telling him that I thought this was fair, since I lived in an igloo for 6 weeks.  He called me the second he go the check and the letter, screaming because he was expecting to pay for the increase in my electric bill.

Over the course of that winter, our apartment had a gas leak in the furnace, and the tenant who called for service, was berated by John.  She had called and complained to john and he never responded.  This man cares about two things, himself, and his money.

He makes a habit of renting in the summer time, and looking for people who are naive, or finnancialy challenged people.  He profiles people to rent too, does not run any reports, he just collects the money, and  the people feel like they scored a great place.  That is where people get taken advantage of.  If your late on your or if you want to give them the check, to make sure it's on time, Mary will tell you to mail it in.  The surprise is that they never asses the $50.00 charge, for late rent, but deduct it from your final damage deposit, even if you wanted to pay the rent on time, but they told you to mail it.

John Klinker will see me in consiliation court, and there are people and documentation that will have his but on the rug.

Don't even consider renting from these lying theives.
