I'm in Idaho, and while we don't have that specific builder here, we have the same issues. MANY MANY builders are ripping off homeowners and then going bankrupt. I have seen dozens of contractors and builders and developers calling it a day, leaving homeowners and entire subdivisions in utter chaos. Meanwhile, their wives are merrily charging up personal debt on their credit cards up to the day they file the bankruptcy. Unfortunately, it wasn't just the lenders screwing up over the past several years, many developers got a taste for the good life, and chose to live way beyond their means and make promises they couldn't keep. I can't offer you any legal advice, but if I could offer you some personal advise - document, document, document, and file your own lawsuit. Class actions wind up no where. If they do file bankruptcy, and you are able to file a proof of claim, there is a small chance you may recover some of their assets. Small chance...but a chance. Class actions, not even that small chance. Good luck, and my sympathies to you...

WE FEEL VERY BAD FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH JOHN LAING HOMES. WE ARE GOING TO SHARE OUR STORY VERY SOON. WE ARE PREPARING TO LEGALLY GO AFTER THIS BUILDER. WE PURCHASED A VERY EXPENSIVE HOME IN ORANGE COUNTY AND WE BELIEVE THAT THIS BUILDER DECEIVES THE CONSUMER. BUILDERS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE CONSUMERS. JOHN LAING HOMES IS MAKING EVERYBODY BELIEVES THAT THEY ARE THE BEST BUILDER AND THAT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES IS THE GREATEST. "THIS IS NOT TRUE" WE UNDERSTAND YOUR FRUSTRATION AND WE WISH YOU THE BEST. GORDON
