We too have been ripped off by JOHN MOORE LP, our air conditioning broke so we called an engineer out, he said we needed a dual capacitor and it would cost $399.99. The pressure of getting it fixed whilst it is 100degrees here in Houston made me sign the quote. When my husband came home he checked the part out online.

To buy one online would have cost us $12.99 plus $7 dollars shipping. So we paid $379.99 for 30 minutes labor. We contacted JOHN MOORE about a refund, they said tough you signed the paper.

It does not look like we can do anything about this company as it seems the owner is on the board of the BBB, so you know what he is going to do with our complaints when he sees them.(throw them in the garbage).

How are they getting away with these practices. I have read that past employees have told about their deceitful tricks, and how they make the engineers double, triple the price of repairs.

There must be someone who is interested in taking this story on board and showing it on T.V.
