Reading your response, I do not understand what the scam on you was. You were angry that there was no guarantee of work. You should be careful as you sound like a stage mom. No school and no agency EVER guarantees work. Just like ballet school doesn't guarantee that you will be a ballerina, just like Select Soccer can't guarantee you are going to get a scholarship to college, or a college degree cannot guarantee a six-figure salary. How in the world can someone guarantee work? What gaurantee can you have that your child won't be sick on the day of the audition? Or you wont be late because you cant find parking? Do you really think because he memorized a Pepsi commercial that he should be on TV? Do you think that it is difficult for television producers to find people to memorize three lines? If you are going to be a parent of an actor you are going to have to become much more realistic about the industry and the skills of acting, or you are going to create unrealistic expectations for your son that will be sure to disappoint him.

It's expensive, useless and JRP students are looked down upon by working people in the industry. However, it's not technically a scam. JRP delivers what it promises to do in the contract for the specified price. I do agree with the spirit of this report, stay away from JRP and never let anyone pressure you into signing a contract that you haven't had time to gover very carefully.
