John Tenneson runs a gaming forum on popular game blackopsforum.com and sells advertising on forums and does so deceptively.

After accepting money for website advertising, John Tenneson feels he can change his advertising spots as desired, adding tons of more banners diluting the service and making a mockery of our paid spots after accepting our money for certain page placements.

The first time, he added more banners of rotation diluting the advertising bought by 50%. The second time he needed more money he added another huge banner below 2 huge banners diluting our value even more, and to add more fuel to the fire felt it was necessary to add 2 more huge banners down the side of his site, diluting our advertising dollar even further, with no partial refund or acknowledgement these changes were to occur, done on the fly as needed.. Not even after the next advertising term expired... Simply frauded us on site advertising.

We first questioned the rotation and didn't do much about it, just letting him know we were unhappy. But it so apparent John cares only about money now, and wil do anything to get more.. Since he had our money already, he went a step further and put another large banner under ours, which was under another large banner for a total of 3 792x90 banners now on the top of his page making it a joke to even look at diluting our entire advertising campaign, without contacting us or refunding us payment.

At this point we made a response to a complaint to the surfer complaints already posted on the forum about the ridiculous ads, only to be trolled out by his 4-6 friends he has to back him up..

To protect his site, he engages in what is known as commercial trolling, they have several friends or fake accounts to troll out all complaints the forum receives.. It to us is obviously a cybersquat operation, we did not realize at first we thought it was a fansite.. We truly believe this site is solely operating to engage in cybersquatting of other peoples trademarks to gain advertising money and as soon as they get yours, they add or dilute it further to make more.

After complain and ask for refund, he disabled our advertising campaign and denied refund of cash thru paypal. So in effectively we are recieving nothing and he keeping all the money.

To add even more fraud charges on John's scam, he doctored his email he sent to a friend who refered to us his site advertising services and cost. He states there were 3 spots available in the original document, we researched and obvious conclusion he is lieing and forged the original document.. We have copy of this original document posted thru a 3rd party service that indicates no additional slots wil be added.

As you can see, John Tenneson is showing his true colors, calling people he stole from tools and trolls. What a great business man John Tenneson is.

I guess you can add criminal to his fraud status as he has gone to slandering instead of refunding the money he has frauded from us.

This guy is a tool, an Internet troll, and nothing more.

I'm not even going to bother wasting time with this guy anymore. Sure, this whole situation is about a mere $30, but I'm here to clear my name from false claims and accusations which is far more important than $30.

Nobotters, you honestly believe that I run forums for a living? You really believe that I'm living on money made by selling $30 ads on a forum? Ridiculous, and laughable.

I have no choice left other than to believe that this guy is nothing more than a tool, an Internet troll. I won't be submitting anymore rebuttals to this idiocy.

P.S. Since this report was made, I have sold many more ads to other individuals successfully. Anybody who has concerns of trading with me after reading this report should take note that I have never scammed before, and I can provide (and confirm via PM) 100% positive feedback from profiles across several different forums and websites. Just ask and I'll be more than happy to provide them for you to view over.

The only thing laughable is John Tenneson business

As you can see what John Tenneson does is dance around all the business he has to conduct and continues to practice is scheming ways. He never addresses anything and plays games on the side, using derailing points as you can see above.

As you can see he constantly uses the Paypal holds money on the side to burn this ordeal out instead of dealing with the facts.

I have no clue why he talking about this paypal stuff, Its a moot point, one I never cared about, nor does it have one thing to do with this.. Its smoke and mirrors.

Lets show the facts.

Fact #1. You still have the money.
Fact #2. You filtered and diluted my advertising, multiple times.
Fact #2. You removed the advertisements completely keeping the money.
Fact #3 The paypal account complaint has been closed for over a business week.
Fact #4 Your out of excuses, dodges and time.
Everyone can see your trying to spin it now

You said it yourself, It's ONLY $30.00
Your spending hours upon hours defending $30.00. You get a kick out of this stuff John? Is your goal here to practice your spin doctoring for future scams?

You admitted you have the money, you admitted you removed the ads.
There is not more time to lie John Tenneson, until you refund the money
you ARE a scammer.

You said it yourself,  you never sold advertising before and asked for a break from me.
Where is the break John Tenneson? Where is the deals John? Where is the refund John Tenneson?

As for anyone who knows Paypal, they know how to lookup and see if someone is verified and since when, so your method of discrediting me on that statement is
invalid. Just more daily BS from this guy.

See John runs internet forums for a living, keying in on other peoples trademarks to get traffic easily.. Then cashes out on advertising where he really sticks it to his customers changing the deals after accepting the money.. He then forges the deal with a new document, trying to get out of it saying you did not understand the terms.

He uses his constant knowledge of trolling and deception he learned from running the forums to cover his future..

Trust me Rip Off Report Readers, you'll be seeing this guys name in the future...

As you can see he will spend his life trying to discredit me, but I aint the one on Ripoff Report denying stuff vigorously now am I?

#6REBUTTAL Individual responds

This individual still refuses to believe that PayPal temporarily takes money out of your account during a dispute. Here's what I have to say:

Nobotters (and anybody else who believes the false claims this user is reporting), I strongly suggest reading this:

(((Redacted)))

Still believe that the money is in my account now, Nobotters? What can you say now? You tell me.

He brags about being a "verified" registered member on PayPal since 2003 as if to prove that he's some trustworthy person (of course, we don't even know that this is true), yet he doesn't even know how PayPal properly works.

This individual states that he is going to take me to court over a $30 intangible deal, which is laughable and ridiculous at the same time. He states that PayPal doesn't bother with intangible goods, yet he believes that the court will?

The individual wants me to post my personal information here publicly, and only god knows what he would do with it. He's a creep and needs to be removed from the Internet. He claims he is 62 years of age, yet his attitude, unprofessionalism, and poor spelling and grammar skills surely speak otherwise.

Let's review the true facts of this case:

1) Nobotters purchased 728x90 advertising from me for $30 USD via PayPal for 1 month, rotated with another banner.

2) Nobotters.com did not ask any questions regarding the deal - he immediately proceeded, and I assumed he understood the terms of the deal.

The Terms of the Deal
728x90 Header Banner for $30 USD for 1 month, rotated with 1 other banner.

3) 10 days after his ad being up on my site, he opens a dispute with PayPal and demands a refund.

4) I refused to give him a refund because he misunderstood the terms of the deal, and his ad was already on my site for 10 days.

5) He files a report to ripoffreport.com making false and ridiculous claims. He states that he is a 62-year old who is going to take me to court, sue me, and gain $30,000 from me - all over a $30 intangible deal.

At this point I'm unsure whether he is serious or just playing games, and so I realize that I have to adapt to the person I'm dealing with.

6) I ask him if we can resolve the minor issue in a civil and professional manner, and he barbarously declines my offer stating that he is "not interested" and that he only wants a refund.

7) I offered to give him a full refund if he would just take down the report, so that we could've both called it a day and walked away. My obvious loss here. I told him that if I didn't refund him after he took down the report, then he could simply report me again. He immediately declines this offer as well and rages on, disbelieving anything I say and throws names at me - a crook, fraud, scammer, etc.

8) He refuses to believe that PayPal temporarily takes money out of your account when a dispute has been initiated. Read http://tinyurl.com/27g9xzh

9) The individual is now asking me to publicly post and give him my personal information.

Again, if anybody is reading this and is convinced at all by the claims made by Nobotters, then keep in mind that he was only one person out of many who purchased advertising on (((Redacted))). I suggest contacting the owners of these websites for confirmation of the several successful transactions I've dealt with:

(((Redacted)))

In the end:

(((Redacted))) either an unhappy customer who didn't understand the terms of deal or is a blatant scammer who wanted 10 days of free advertising on my huge-visited website.

The truth

#7Author of original report

Thu, October 28, 2010

The facts of this report are true.

John Tenneson (blackopsforum.com) fratalforums has tried many times to get this report removed. He tried using our money as hostage saying he will refund us 100% if we remove this report. We truly feel even if we could remove the report, he would not have refunded us. To this day, he still has not refunded us or displayed our ads.

John has played games constantly with us acting like he would like reach a solution. He has no intentions of reaching a solution other than keeping or money and not forfilling the deal.. He has the money now, he claims paypal does.. This is another smoke and mirror job John just loves to pull. Anyone who knows paypal, knows they don't even bother with intangible goods... Look John, i have been registered on paypal since 2003.. Its yet another dodge angle he is trying to use to his advantage.

Now John has a new angle of attack and is trying to spin the Fact he don't know who I am. I am a company, as stated in this report. What difference does it make John, if you do not know who I am? I have an address on my business John, you have whois privacy protection.. Are you hiding John Tenneson?

John is the one that might not be real. John is running under WHOIS protection,
and has no Address on his PayPal account.  Who are you John Tenneson? I have an address on my business. I have address on my paypal account Mr Tenneson. I have a verfied paypal account since 2003 John Tenneson

Yes, I plan on taking you to court... Can you forward me your info?
I would like a court to handle this case, If you are so sure you are not doing anything wrong and this is phony, why don't you post your info here, so we can let a judge decide if you have committed fraud?

Lets face the facts, you are hiding.
You are keeping the money, and YES YOU HAVE IT, noone here beleives you don't
You are not delivering advertisement
You have failed selling banner ads on the botom of your site,
You diluted my investment after taking my payment, putting more ads at the time, without CONTACTING us. you add more ads on the side of your site, without contacting us.

If you deal with John, expect to be taken for a ride..  And a big headache.
This guy will sit there for hours and just talk nonsense

The claims and accusations in this report are invalid.

#8REBUTTAL Individual responds

Tue, October 26, 2010

This is an unhappy customer who purchased advertising on the forum. He misunderstood the terms of the deal and is now falsely reporting us. In other words, the claims in the report are not only groundless, but completely invalid.

The terms of the deal clearly stated that the 728x90 header banner which he purchased, would be rotated with 1 other banner. We did not state that additional advertising options would not be added. He did not ask any questions before immediately proceeding with the deal. This individual believed that his banner would be the only one displayed on our website. We sold him a 728x90 header banner for $30 USD rotated with 1 other banner for 1 month. This is clearly what the terms of the deal stated. The ad would have been effective from October 11, 2010 - November 11, 2010.

After roughly 10 days of his ad being displayed on our website, he opened up a dispute with PayPal and demanded a full refund. He claims that we frauded him, clearly being either oblivious or ignoring the original terms of the deal.

We have sold advertising spots on the website successfully to many other advertisers.

Examples include:

fullychargedforum
deushost
gamingallnight
xblforum
xboxbgs

Feel free to contact the owners of these websites and ask them for confirmation of our successful transactions. Actually, I insist you to contact them if the false report sounds any convincing to you at all.

He claims that we are conducting "commercial trolling" and that we are a "cybersquat operation". He believes that the members on the forum are either 'friends' or 'fake accounts' (he can't even make up his own mind). This is beyond absurdity. We are a community fan forum with hundreds of active members who log in and post daily. Anybody who knows what an Internet forum is would automatically know that what this individual is claiming is obviously ludicrous.

We removed his ad immediately after he opened up a dispute on PayPal. What he doesn't understand (or is pretending not to know in his own defense) is that when you open a dispute with PayPal against a seller, the money is temporarily taken out of the seller's PayPal account and held until the issue is resolved. He uses this scenario to claim that we are scammers; that we are "keeping" the money when in fact it isn't even in our account anymore.

To make matters even more ridiculous, the individual attempted to 'scare' us by threatening to sue us and contact a lawyer. In messaging eachother on PayPal (open case dispute), he claims that he is a 62-year old who is going to win 3 cases of fraud and will gain $30,000 by suing us over a $30 advertising deal.

The individual owns the website "Nobotters" and uses this name as his PayPal address. It is obvious that he does not want to reveal his name.

It has come to a point where we honestly don't know whether he is just playing games or is actually being serious.
