Johnson & Johnson Diabetics Beware Langhorne Pennsylvania
In Dec of 2007 I went to use my Animas 1200 insulin pump and much to my supirse when I had refilled my pump and reattached it to body I discovered that the pump had malfunctioned and emptied the entire vial of insulin into me. I had to rush to the hospital to be treated immediately.
When I finally left the hospital I contacted Animas who stated they need information about it to which they took notes. They were suppose to call back on Monday after the weekend which they never did when I finally got in touch with someone they took me they were to have no further contact with me and I need to contact Johnson and Johnson the parent company.
After repeated attempts to resolve this with J&J they made the decision that the problem was theirs. I have a video of the pump still having the same issues and when I asked J&J to come out to inspect the pump because I resfused to send it back to them they told me they had to have it in their hanfs in order to make a determination. They also told me after checking my records that my blood sugar levels were not dangerously low. These morons didnt account for the fact I ate in the amount roughly 2 sandwichs, cookies,chips and 5 glasses of juice along with a drip of two bags of glucose. All this time I had never been attacted to any form of insulin while in the hospital. They stated I have had low blood sugar before.
I even sent them a DVD of the pump failing they told me they couldnt tell me there anything wrong with it when I asked this idiot if their pumps are designed to just let insulin empty out she said no but then again when she was asked if the pump in the video was failing she said it could not be determined. As of today they have never taken care of my medical bills and my eyes have been having problems since this incident.
