I purchased a high end $4400 'new' watch from Jomashop. When the watch arrived, all of the original packaging had been replaced with Jomashop packaging, including tags and protecting seals. The watch - a chronometer - arrived keeping time that was far outside of chronometer specs (+28 sec/day).
I immediately contacted Jomashop. Three days later, I received what appeared to be an automated reply. No mention was made of my particular issues and concerns. I wrote again. No answer. I called. No answer. Left a message. No reply. I emailed again. This time, an evasive answer. I continued to email them and continued to get either no response or evasive respones as if they were illiterate or playing games. This went on for almost a month from the time the watch arrived to the time I decided to return the watch. I finally called to get a return authorization number. This time I received a call back and was told that I would be charged a restocking fee of $660.
I contacted my credit card company and they immediately suspended the charge, pending an investigation. And so I am currently assembling online complaints (and there are a great many) that will demonstrate that this is a company that will advertise anything, sell you anything, and deliver you anything - as long as they can make a sale and get your money.
