I am piggybacking on Joseph's comment. Immediately take all support paperwork to the nearest military installation's JAG office. It DOES NOT have to be where he is located. AND, if he has other children he probably is receiving (certainly entitled to) additional allotments (money) to support them...DO NOT let him shaft your kids. ALSO, if there is a provision for healthcare in the support order then he IS responsible for, at worst half, the cost of medical care sought for the child after the order was issued. Take his sorry you-know-what to small claims court and get a judgement( only requires a nominal filing fee) Take that judgement with you to the military JAG office. If he is no longer in the military take/send the medical judgement to the child support office that issued the order and they will tack it on to his support obligation. You may have to initially foot the medical bill to protect your credit but you sound strong and determined, so I have the feeling you will get it back. Treasure your kids and Good Luck :-)

I found you report interesting. I personally cannot stand parents who ignore court orders for child support. Usually they make up an excuse as to why they are not paying, but most of the time it is simply them not taking responsibility for the children they helped create. In any event, if Mr. Martin is still on active duty as you indicated by his signing up for three years, then his children are entitled to free medical care and commissary previleges. The mother would not be entitled, but as the caretaker of the children, she can get authorization to use the commissary on their behalf. Go to the nearest military installation with a copy of the children's birth certificate, the divorce degree and order for child support, plus Mr. Martin's social security number. If he is still on active duty, his children will receive their benefits. Also, if he is still on active duty, and you know where he is assigned, you may be able to garnish his military wages. Check with your attorney or his base judge advocate general's office for detail on how to proceed. You have some opportunities here, so look into them. Best wishes.
