Mr. Sharifi was offered a refund of the last repair. His refrigerator compressor went out for the last time and it was not worth fixing it. JT Appliance was out to Mr. Sharifi's house and installed a comp. kit which helps the compressor kick back on. It worked!
A little over a year later he called JT Appliance back again complaining that the unit was defrosting. So, a timer was put in. And no more than 48 hours later the compressor had stopped working. These are 2 different problems. He was out of warranty for the first repair (1yr warranty on all parts) But the tech. did install another comp. kit to make sure that it was not our part that was the problem. And the comp. still did not work.
So how can a company refund a customer for a repair that was done a year ago??
We did however offer him a refund for the second repair (timer) which had NOTHING to do with this repair BUT to make the customer happy this is what we offered. He paid $200.00 for the second repair (timer) and we offered him $130.00 back which is minus the service charge of $69.95. That was not good enough for this customer, he wanted all of the repair amounts back to him. When JT Appliance tech. explained to him that what he was asking was impossible he then started to get irate with the tech. so the tech. left and the customer was not refunded anything because he wanted a total of $475.00 and not the $130.00
JT Appliance has been in business for many years now and this is the first time ANY customer has put anything on rip of report.
We always strive to make every customer satisfied but sometimes you simply can't when the customer is being totally unreasonable.
