Good morning again. I checked Kabam's forum for Thirst of Night this morning. One of their forum moderators, I am Pestilence, posted the "calling players cheaters is not allowed" rule. This was in response to players wondering why talking about cheating is being censored.
This is interesting, as Josh Kabam started two threads that basically called all players suffering from "game play problems" as "cheaters". Yet the forum moderator has not done anything to Josh Kabam's two threads.
In the threads, Josh Kabam claimed that they were "running tests". That would mean that they would have to go into the game and play it like regular players. As per the forum rules, that means Josh Kabam would technically be a player. And he was in direct violation of forum rules. Yet, as of 7:34 a.m. Central time, July 3, 2012, those two threads are still untouched. Yet other players have had their posts deleted, locked and/or edited to censor them.
I am Pestilence is fond of telling players that "This forum is privately owned by Kabam, but it's run by players and is for players". Yet Kabam employees are allowed to be treated as "favorites", while the rest of the player base must "suck it up" and "deal with" being libeled. The forum is already awash with agitated players after Josh Kabam's accusations. The forum moderator isn't doing Kabam any favors by censoring the forum.
You can see just how Kabam treats its player base, both in the game and on the forum. This is not how any reputable gaming company would treat its players. Do not give Kabam any money to play their games. In fact, avoid them entirely. I only keep playing to document the sort of horrible things present in the game and on the forum.
