Kaplan University Online Horrible, Rip Off, Fraud, Deceptive, Unethical Nationwide
You know as I paid a student loan payment today, it got me to thinking about how enrolling in Kaplan was the BIGGEST mistake of my life. I am on the hook for $4,000 and only attended your online classes for 1 (yes, that is ONE) month.
I was told that I missed the drop deadline and that there was nothing that anyone could do. Even when I explained that I needed to drop due to a death in the family.
I deferred the loan as long as possible, trying to contact Kaplan for resolution. Shocker that there was none, but even three years later it PISSES me off everytime that Kaplan took this money and I get NOTHING but a bill. The BIGGEST joke and fraud ever. Lesson learned, I guess. Stick with a local community college who hopefully has some ethics.
After three years of trying to recify this situation...I broke down and started making the loan payments. I really have no other recourse. Its terrible what these alleged colleges are getting away with...
