Kauff's Towing FWC called Kauff's Towing to tow my vehicle - they placed a 5 day hold - Kauff's on the 6th day refuses to release my vehicle West Palm Beach Florida
Kauff's Towing was called by FWC to tow my vehicle on the evening of 11/6. At that time, FWC placed a 5 day hold with the towing company. I had contacted Kauff's towing on numerous occasions as well as I had been in contact with FWC. On November 10, 2020 I spoke to a Lt. Hayes at FWC who advised that the 5 day hold was up as of that day. She told me to call Kauff's Towing to make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. I told Lt. Hayes that my previous conversations with Kauff's towing that they are requesting a release by FWC.
She told that she never heard of that and that they need to release to the vehicle to me. First thing Wednesay morning (6th day) I contacted Kauff's Towing and told them that I would like to make arrangements to pick up my vehicle. Once again, they came back and said that FWC put a hold on it. I advised them that they placed a 5 day hold and it is now the 6th day. I told them that I spoke to Lt. Hayes at FWC and she said that she never heard that they had to file a release and that the hold was only for 5 days. (By the way that is what the paper that was given says 5 day hold - it does not say until FWC releases)
AGAIN - THEY ARE REFUSING TO RELEASE MY VEHICLE AND NOW 11/11 FWC IS CLOSED DUE TO VETERAN'S DAY SO I WON'T BE ABLE TO REACH ANYONE UNTIL THURSDAY (7TH DAY) AT WHICH TIME KAUFF'S IS CONTINUING TO ADD STORAGE CHARGES. These people need to be reprimanded and reimburse the people they did wrong - it's just not fair that they can get away with this. They should be put out of business!
