I dont really feel that I need to go in to a lot of detail, because it seems as if many others have already spelled it out. My fiancee and I are so fustrated right now we could both scream.

We ordered 7 dresses from Kaufmans in early february. we were told they would be in late july or early august. we knew at that time that that was cutting it pretty close for a wedding date of Sep 4, but we stood idley by and waited.

Now it is August 19, no where near the beginning of the month, and the dresses still are not here. They need to be altered and all the bridesmaids are out of town. They have all missed alterations appointments because there is no dress, and their next appointment is the day after tomorrow and there is STILL no dress.

The store manager has been less than helpful, saying "hopefully they will be in soon" every day and every week.

What the heck are we supposed to do? We have a plan B...going to JC Penny and buying off the shelf. Or even better...buying dresses off of ebay. Either way its not what we wanted.

Awestruck...confused...angry.

Dont ever do business with these people. They have caused more than enough undue stress and worry for what is already stressful.

Adam, I am sorry to hear yet another bride is going through the same horrible nightmare my daughter went through. You are running out of time before the wedding, as we were. We contacted an attorney, who wrote to the Kaufmans stating the last date we would accept the dresses. He informed them that, if the dresses were not received by that date, we would request a refund. He also assured me he would get the refund for us, if that is what it came down to. The dresses arrived. It worked for us. I believe the Kaufmans realize that not everyone can afford or is willing to involve an attorney, but I was at the end of my rope. As reported by others, the Kaufmans do not consider that a dress is late unless it is received the day after the wedding. It is unconscionable what they are doing to people, but they continue. Good luck.
