Some psychics on Keen will try to give you a sob story about how they really don't make that much money after all the fees Keen charges them.
If a psychic is charging the seemingly modest rate of $2.99 per minute, that's a whopping $179 per hour. Even if Keen and taxes took away half of that in fees, that's still around $90 an hour.
Even if the $2.99 psychic is taking a 15 minute break every hour, they would still be making over $60 an hour.
So what about the ones who charge $4.99 per minute, $9.99 per minute, $19.99 per minute? Don't do that math on those because it will make you sick.
But if you ever question how much they charge, or question why they need to increase their rates, some will tell you that Keen takes most of it away, they still don't make enough money, tell you about all the bills they have to pay, tell you how poor they are, life is so hard for them, blah blah blah, and not only is that a lie, they are wasting your precious minutes on the phone telling you this crap.
I have heard bull**** story from psychics who are continuously taking calls for several hours a day and have customers continuously waiting in line to talk to them. They are making plenty of money.
And what about the ones who don't have a continuous stream of customers? Does the fact that they haven't attracted a large clientele justify their need to charge YOU so much money? Are you somehow obligated to pay a higher rate, to make up for the money they aren't making in between your calls?
Even if an advisor only charges 2.99 per minute, and only works an actual 10 hours a week taking calls, and EVEN IF KEEN AND TAXES TAKE HALF OF THAT AWAY, they are still getting about $900 a week.
How much money do YOU earn at what you do? Is it even half as much as a part-time reader on Keen is making?
Don't believe any of the sob stories these people give you about how much they need the money. One reader told me over and over that her family was starving. It's not about giving them what they "need." It's about paying for a service, and paying a reasonable amount for that service, just like any other business.
Think about the last psychic you called. Did they really deserve the rate you paid, for the service and the amount of information they gave you? Was what they said accurate? Can you actually verify that any of the information they gave you is accurate?
If you got the reading and the information FIRST...before you paid for it...how much would you have wanted to pay? Would you have paid as much as they were asking you up front?
If you could pay LATER...after allowing enough time for their predictions to pass...would the reading still be worth the same amount of money to you?
Even if once or twice, they told you something really valuable...how much time and money did you have to spend on the phone with them to drag that out of them? If you had run out of money one minute before they got to that part, would that reader have taken the time to email you with the information you really needed to know?
If they tell you that they are doing things to help you in their off hours, round the clock, doing "the work," saying prayers or lighting candles, or casting spells, or contacting other psychics on your behalf, can you verify that they are actually doing any of these things? Can you see any tangible, beneficial results from it?

Hi there, I would just like to bring a bit of reality here.
So while Keen.com does take +/- 50% of the adviser's earnings the assumed "hourly" pay is very incorrect. While in theory it is true that if you multiply the minutes with the rate charged i.e. $2.99 it would be $90 per hour for the psychic to keep.
Reality is though that we are talking about "talk time" and not the advisor sitting at the computer for 1 hour with no calls = not making a dime. Then the phone rings and its a 3 min call = $4.50 earnings for the past hour so to speak.
Reality is also that to be seen on the first few pages advisers pay per click which means if you are a new caller to them and click on a listing (once every 24 hours) they will pay a fee to Keen that they agreed upon for the bid and it doesn't matter if you call that advisor or not!
So everybody has the possibility to bid or not, pay extra to be seen or not. But those who have to bid to be seen at all sometimes pay a lot per months to do so.
That is unless the computer system placed them there in the first place b/c their services are well rated by clients.
The better the adviser the less they pay and all you as a consummer can go by is their feedback.
Opposit to many comments here on this site Keen Never! Ever! changes/deletes feedback left by callers...that is unless it contains real profanities or general insults to the whole community and that is soooo very rare...and even then they may not delete it.
If an adviser leaves feedback for themselves by creating a second account and calling their own listing they get kicked from the platform in no time b/c the Keen computer system catches that really fast.
Not saying there are no frauds or that everybody is psychicly gifted but those who are not do not survive there for long as the negative feedback will not make it worth while their time to be logged on.

I've tried a few online psychic networks and the pay per minute companies charged astronomical fees for their services and the predictions never, ever came to pass. While reading reviews, I found a psychic network called Tarotti.com and they were not pay per minute and overall seemed affordable.
Unlike asknow.com, keen, kasamba and psychic source, none of the tarotti.com psychics beat around the bush, hem hawing and or jabbering on with irrelevant, unrelated nonsense, like the beauty of my turquoise aura and so forth, trying to take up my time.
The psychics I selected at tarotti.com went well over the purchase time and were astoninishingly brilliant and intuitive. I marveled at the level of accuracy and knew then that I was "home!" They are really great and I feel that I'd be lost without my Savantace. I have used the services of three different psychics at tarotti.com and I can sincerely say that I love them all.
I believe wholeheartedly that the company is honest, ethical and principled. Also, more importantly, every prediction made by psychic savantace, has come to pass. She's quite remarkable.
