On November 5th, 2013 the Arlington Police called theircity contracted wrecker and storage company called Kelly McKnight Wrecker Service. My daughter was given a ticket in her VW for no insurance. Here Free & Clear VW was towed at a cost of $213.00 for a 4 mile tow. When it arrived at the storage facility called Kelly McKnight car storage it was parked. A certified letter should have been sent out to the owner which is William Bradford at the time of storage at least by the first 7days. My daughter did not tell me the car was impounded and she had got a ticket until 11-18-2013 for she does not care (irresponsiable). The storage shop new the car was Free and Clear for they checked now if they could make sure no one was to pick it up they would get it very cheap a 2004 VW bug worth $6,000. Had my employee hunt down and find were the car was taken to he found it at Kelly mcKnight and was given a storage charge bill of $632.00. When we went to pick the car up at 11:45PM no one would take care of us so we waited till someone came up then we gave them the title, insurance on the car, and had the money. The guy behind the counter then said thew charge was another 35.00 more for it was an extra day for now it was 12:04AM that is why they waited knowing they could get another day storage. When I complained he told me to leave and pick it up tomorrow or he would call the cops. The cops are on there side for they are the police's department tow company and probably gives kick backs who knows. i did get the car back. tried to contact the owner Kelly mcKnight with no response back from him or anyone else. The problem I had they never sent me a certified letter but charged $50.00 for one. Just happened 4 days after picking up the car i received the letter in the mail certified how convienant for them.This company is a rip-off company and will take advantage of those that have the least amount. The cars are auctioned off ever 30 days all the employees own cars that have been bought at the auction. Be careful use another company unless you want RIPPED OFF!!
