He said "Rent is due on the first. If the first falls on a Saturday and you give them a check on Sunday, there is a $275 fine". A $275.00 LATE FEE???? Yeah, I'd move.

I'm sure what Jeff meant to say was that they COULDN"T have deposited the check on a Saturday, not COULD have. Just a common mistake. Most people would have caught it.

How could they have deposited your check on Saturday if you gave it to them on Sunday? Advice: If the rent is due the 1st and a penalty is imposed if you're late--pay it on time.
