like there's some question/concern about the identity documentation you gave them. If you put in your driver's license number maybe a wrong number was hit or maybe numbers in the wrong order. Perhaps when they checked your ID the information they received didn't match the information you gave them. Perhaps having recently moved and address update not completed. Or possibly signs of identity theft. You might want to consider getting a free credit report from annual credit report.com (without the spaces) to make sure no one's trying to use your information. This would support the no release of information. The bank wouldn't want to tell an indentity thieve what they got wrong. This would help them more successfully commit future crimes.
Inconvenient--yes. Irritating--yes. Unfortunate--yes. Rip-off--no.
And I've do not now and at no time in the past have I worked for this bank.
