Kids Hollywood Connection, Phillis Henson, SCAMMER!! major RIP OFF modeling agency in Newport Beach California
A warning to all parents in California wishing to get their kids into modeling and/or acting: Stay away from Kids Hollywood Connection in Newport Beach!
It is a complete rip off. The owner Phillis, is a fast talking used car slippery sales person! She'll tell you what you as a parent wish to hear to get your money...your child may be a star...just like her amateur looking website says. When I initally called, I was only told there was a $140.00 fee (I think).
Well, when I went there and payed, I met Phillis, and she convinced me how great my kid was and that I needed to get a sag agent. Well, this would now cost me $1,025.00 for only 6 months. This was never told to me on the phone when i called, and i was very specific when asking about money. They are very misleading.
I don't expect them to do what they do for nothing. I understand that. They were very sneaky on the phone. I also asked a friend who's been in the industry for a while, and she had never heard of them. My friend also called a few very big agents specifically about this company, and they said it was in fact a scam and to run the other way.
I also ran into another parent at babies r us in Tustin. They also said Henson ripped them off too! The better business bureau says they are a b rating, but then again, who pays the bbb? companies like kids hollywood connection does. so that's a scam too! Kids hollywood connection nneds to be closed down for good. this company preys on the dreams of parents, and Phillis, and her employess, know exactly what to say to naive parents to get their money.
I really have on idea why this owman has not been closed by the da of orang county. I'm going to file a complaint against her. she's lies to people and acts like she's so pure and honest. It's all a complete act.
she really seems like a very bitter woman. i hear she's been a single mother for years...gee...i wonder why Phillis?

i saw this website, and must say I have to agree with most of it. I brought my kids to their office after being told on the telephone that they were an actual agency. The phillis lady just wanted a bunch of money for putting my kids picture in an envelope and sending them to an agent, something I can do on my own, and of course with no guarnatee of even getting an agent. i think the main problem with this company is their advertising is not clear as to what they do and what costs there will be, and again, no guarantees of even getting an agent. Phillis was very pushy about getting my money and told me that my kid had star potentional with that special sparkle as she calls it. i also think it's funny that she operates in newport near more well to do parents with a fat wallet... hhhhuuuummmm.... just be careful with this place. thanks to this website for helping expose this company and its many problems

I saw in ad in a newspaper a few months ago for Kids Hollywood Connection. At first, it looked legit. Until I went there. After I payed my consulting fee to Phyllis, the real sales pitch came! She told me how wonderful my kid was and that she could scout her a great agent in la. Well, after a hard sales pitch by Phyllis, I told her that I would think about it. She did not like this. After doing research, I found numerous parents that were not pleased with Kids Hollywood Connection and their "lack" of service. I asked Phyllis about this. She basically told me that I was a pain in the butt client for asking questions and she basically told me to go to h**l. I couldn't believe the way this lady treated me and was so happy to see this site and that others were also not impressed with her. I think she's a fast talking con artist. I don't think she's got any Hollywood "connections". She wants to connect only with your money!

this company in Newport Beach run by this Phillis, an old lady, who looks like she needs to retire, ripped a friend of mine off too! i'm glad this site has exposed her. she should be put in jail. my girlfriend payed over $1000 to her and nothing happened. no agents. nothing. she tryed to get her money back and Phillis threatned to sue her. she's a lunitic. thanks to the internet hopefully this scam artsit will be shut down by the fed's. companies like this disgust me. let's start an "i hate kids hollywood connection" site. i notice their site, suddenly lists her fees, surprise, they must be coming down on her. finally...
