Kim Davies Air Space Travels MONEY ORDER RIPOFF London United Kingdom
I own a small property management company and received a TDDY message about 2 weeks ago from a woman who claimed to be deaf. She wanted to lease an apartment for her two grown children, claiming they were volunteers coming to the States from Scotland.
To make a long story short, she said her church usher would be sending me money orders to cover their first month's rent and deposit and that there would be extra money in the money orders and would I Western Union the extra money to a Air Space Travel in London to pay for their plane tickets etc.
I received the money orders 8 of them in $850.00 increments in a plain brown envelope with no return address and no letter that appeared to be drawn from a post office in Ohio. I was suspicious of these money orders so I went to my post master and asked him to take a look at them.
Turns out they are really good forgeries. If I had taken them and deposited them in the bank, the bank would have credited my account immediately because they were in small increments under $1,000.00 each and if I had stupidly Western Unioned the money to the accounts with the Air Space Travel Agency where she emailed me very specific instructions I would have cost my company the $6,000 because the money orders are no good.
Hope this let's anyone else know abou this scheme.
