King Size Direct Promotes discounts that do show a checkout, but not on billing, Internet
King Size Direct offers sales on their product both directly and in the form of promotional discount codes. Just by visiting their web site, in most cases a sale requires the buyer to enter a discount code that is provided at the web site during checkout to obtain the sale price.
A serious issue I have run into is that while applicable discounts will appear in your "cart" and at checkout, they often are not applied to the final bill. The customer discovers this when they receive their bill from the credit card company.
This happened to me on several items I purchased for the (then) upcoming winter season, and I needed to purchase some new clothing. I used discount codes as prompted, the discount was shown in the "cart", and I checked out. Then the bill arrived only to be much higher than expected. We are dealing with promotions often in the 40% and 50% range. With discounts that are clearly displayed in red when checking out.
Yet calling customer service yields no results. For me, some items were "drop shipped" from another vendor, and King Size Direct informed me that these items do not qualify for a discount. Indeed this is noted on discount codes - I'll give them that. However if that was the case with the items I have ordered - I feel the discount should not have been deducted at checkout. To remove a discount without your knowledge and then bill the full price amount should be criminal. This is clearly a case of deceptive billing.
To add insult, when returning items because of over billing - they do not refund any shipping. The customer is still out shipping to them and return shipping. Between deceptive billing practices and return shipping and no refund on original shipping - The customer is out money unless they accept the full price that they did not bargain for.
