Kingdom Exteriors, L.L.C.- Matt J. Blunt- 214-505-1944 same as Spring Creek Fence & Deck as per Carrollton, TX Mary complained about and Mary's input on June 14,2011. Neighbor had fence done-we asked if he did cement work-gave us an estimate-1st day he asked for 1/2 of estimate to start job;3rd day-more money & 5th day again when cement did not take.he asked for mo Plano, , Texas
Our neighbor had her fence done. he did a good job and we asked him if he did cement work. he said he did and in a few days gave us an estimate on a print-out paper. we thought it was reasonable. so we hired him. the first day when he came to do the job he asked for a check - 1/2 of the estimate. and i wrote him a check. after a few days he needed more money and complained that his credit card wasn't working.
so we wrote him another check. as the work progressed it seemed fine. he seemed like a friendly nice christian guy. but annoying his radio in his white truck blared a religious station very loud throughout the neighborhood. he also hired someone to work with him named Rueben. Think Rueben knew that Matt Blunt was not very professional. and made him do the breaking up of the cement w/a jackhammer that took a whole day. the 3rd day Matt asked for more money and we wrote him another check. as the job progressed to Friday when the cement was to be poured.
When the cement was poured it did not take. it ran all over our back garage and carport area....and looked horrid (parts of our carport behind out garage was dismantled too) he came to our door and told us the problem but asked for $200. more ---to redo it. but that check we think went to Rueben. think Rueben had enough and wanted to be paid. Matt said he would return on Sunday to start jackhammering it again. but he never showed and did not answer his cell phone. Monday we called him and he said he does not have the money to fix it.
On Friday he took all his tools etc. and we asked him to clean up which included our neighbor's yard as he had left fence parts all over and it looked a mess.
So now we have contacted a few other cement cos. to redo the mess in our back alley garage area.
---we were stupid...something that we don't usually do. we have learned a hard lesson.
