My name is Justin and i am in the United States Army. I was visiting the opry mills mall in nashville and me and my friend who is also in the army stopped by the kis store just to check it out. We ended up making rush decisions and decided to each buy the one for single's. before i signed my contract I asked to have them write in my contract that if i was no fully sattisfied in 6 month then i could get my money back. This was in may of 2007. Well it was wrote in my contract but the funny thing is it was only wrote on my company and i did not see it till it was to late.

Well after discovering this later on I asked the manager at that time (Brian and his wife Angela) if this was done on purpose which it was so that legally i was stuck. Well he said no and after deciding that he was a liar and that i had been suckered into a bad deal I told him that I wanted out and he told me no. Well me and Brian talked a while and then he said that if I took ten lessons and still was not satisfied then I could get out.

So I agreed to do that well me and my friend took our ten lessons and then Brian refused to let us out of the contract. So i wrote a e-mail to George McGill and then contacted the store to tell them that I wrote George McGill and that I wanted a response. Well they wouldn even talk to me on the phone so I had to drive from Fort Campbell KY to Nashville which is a good hour just to talk to them. Well when I got there I was surprised to see that all the management had been changed so now i was dealing with completely new people. Well after i had explained my situation to them they told me to contact Chuck Nance who was a retired NAVY SEAL (I'm calling BS) and that he would help me. So I sent a email to chuck nance and im posting it below along with his reply.

My name is Justin and I have a issue that can't be solved. I hear you are former military so maybe you will be able to see things from my point of view. I am a SPC in the Army. I signed up for KIS golf in august of 2007. When I signed my contract Tony Allen was the person who helped me with my contract. When I signed up I asked to have it wrote in my contract that if i was not fully satisified in six months that I would be able to get out of my contract. Tony Allen called Brian the former manager of kis gold in nashville and verified that, that would be ok. When it was wrote in my contract it was only wrote on my copy.

In other words from a legal stand point there is nothing that can be done since it was only wrote on my copy. I am not sure if this was intentional or not but either way it was not for the customers benfeit. I didnt realize this until everything was already signed which is my fault. i know that legally there is nothing I can do however this is immoral and wrong and as you know military members do not make much money. I'm hoping that you will see things from a E-4's point of view. When I signed up for KIS golf I didnt know when I was going to be deployed. I leave for Afganistan in december of 2008. Since we are getting ready to deploy I am on a lot of training missions right now that limits the time that I have on the Golf Course. I just dont have time and I just dont think that your program works for me. It's nothing personal but it just doesnt work for me.

I have had multiple problems with the nashville store. Most of my problems where with brian and angela. I understand that they no longer work there and I had no intentions of getting anyone in trouble but I do not like being told one thing and then someone lieing to me. I believe that if you tell another man something then shake his hand you should honor your word. It seems that everytime I have called to set up a meeting none of my phone calls have been returned. The only thing that I want is for my money to be returned. I want nothing more than that. I find it hard to believe that a retired navy SEAL would screw over another military member. I just simply want my money back.

I have tried every channel that i can at the store in nashville and I have gotten no where. I talked to larry bland and he gave me your e-mail address. He told me to talk to you and to see what you said. I'm sorry that I have to bother you with this but I feel that it is something that you should be aware of. I would just appericate it if your store would honor the word that was given to me. I know that legally there is not much I can do as I can not afford a lawyer. Hi Justin, first I want to say thank you for your millitary sacrifice. Good luck in Afganistan. I will do some checking with the guys at the store and I can assure you I will do the right thing. Legally your stuck. but sometimes legally is not the right thing. Give me a few days and I will get back with you.

Now after this was said I waited about a week or so and sent another because I had not recieved a reply I sent 2 more e-mails and got nothing in return. So sense he decided to not e-mail me back I called his mobile number and he told me to call the office phone and that he would take my call. So I called the office and the secretary told me he left for lunch. I could not even believe it. So a couple of days later I called his mobile number and he changed the number.

the only thing i wanted was for my contract to be upheld like they told me it would. I dont understand how people can look a man in the eye shake is hand and then stab him in the back as soon as he turns around. This whole company is a rip off. Chuck Nance got a email from my friend Greg to but Greg's wasnt as nice as mine was. Chuck tried to use scare tactics on my friend Greg who is also in the Army to. We dont make much money and threating us doesnt scare us it just makes us mad. KIS golf can rest assured that i will spend my last 5 months before I deploy to afganistan standing in front of his store in nashville telling people what KIS golf is really about.

If you have something negative to say about me or what I said you might as well save your time and not respond to this as I will not argue over a computer. So just beware of this KIS GOLF company as they are a ripoff.

Today I recieved a phone call from chuck nance. He was very polite and understanding of my situation and he did solve my problem and refund my money. unfortunatly i can not delete this because the website wont allow me but what I can do is say how he did fix my problem. There was a lot of miscommunication and I was also very upset. I did apologize to chuck nance for the things i said to him because a lot of what i said was out of anger and frustration. However he did resolve my problem. I was also incorrect on some of my information about him which is my fault. So all in all chuck nance isn't a bad guy he solved my problem and he did it without any BS. He did live up to is word and I really apperciate that. So thank you chuck nance for resolving my issue and for taking care of a couple of soldiers. (he also fixed my friend Greg Winn's problem to day to) So all in all i blew the situation out of the water and I didnt allow chuck nance the amount of time he needed to fix my problem. So the report above is not accurate and my problem with chuck nance and kis gold has been fixed and are in good standing. Thank you chuck justin

If you don't want to argue over the internet, you should not use such a tool and start it. This site is made for both parties to defend themselves. You have posted your side, which everyone will understand is your side and most will presume that the stoty is embellished and biased to your opinions. You don't have to argue back, but we will defend ourselves. Many of the postings on this site have few truths and many have left out important things just to make their side seem better. KiS has many satisfied customers. We offer to buy back memberships if satisfaction is not met, that promise was made to you I am sure. Your obligation was simply to use want you bought, show us an established USGA handicap, and take a lesson a week, which are free included with the membership, from one of our PGA instructors, for 26 weeks. Did you take the lessons sir. Why not, I understand you are busy but you don't leave until December. 30 minutes a week is all that we ask to provide you with golf instruction. You say that you will stand in front of the store for five months, how about use that time to get the instruction and let us satisfy both of our goals. I am sure you were not lied to sir, and I am sorry for you situation. Your membership is for life and you will have many years ahead of you to use your membership and it benefits. You and your freind obviously saw the value of the membership. So please start using your membership now, and when you return. I can not do anything else to help you with this matter, I am just one of the teaching professionals. But posting on this site and being negative will not help you achieve you desired results. So bring your clubs when you come to camp out in front of the store, I will pencil you in to my lesson schedule.
