I rented a car from Klass Wagen in May 2018 in Timisoara airport, Romania.
Please be aware that their CDW charges are about 22 Euro per day, I have not seen any other company that charges this much.
My credit card actually insure me for damages that are covered by CDW insurance, but in case of a damage they require the car rental company to substantiate the charge with a repair estimate or actual repair bill. The representative at Klass Wagen told me that they will not provide such documentation because their charges are determined by a table they use without regards to the actual cost. He gave me an example for repair of a windshield that will cost 600 Euro. That is about 2-4 times more of the average actual cost of such repair.
I found reports on a known travel web site of a guy that they charged 840 Euro for replacing a windshield.
This practice is unfair, deceptive, makes credit card insurance impossible to be used, and force people to buy their outrageously expensive CDW coverage.
I will never rent from this company again and I recommend everyone else to avoid them as well.
