Kwik Kar Frankford mechanics are thieves. Mike, the mechanic, after checking out my car, told me I needed to replace the fan clutch on my BMW. He said I needed it done immediately without driving the car any further. I asked him how much it would cost and that I was going to get a second opinion and quote from my regular mechanic. He assured me the cost including parts, labor and tax would be $ 343.00. I asked him to repeat the total so I could tell my boyfriend and have something to compare when talking to my regular mechanic. He assured me it would be no more than $343.00 total. My mechanic said they would charge 300.00 but since I had my car already at Kwik Kar, I would let them do the repair work. When I checked out, the bill was $425.00. He would not give me my car until I paid him $425.00. Mike lied and said he never quoted me an exact price. He charged me $82.00 more than his original quote. He is a liar, thief and I highly suggest never taking your car for repairs there. He will say anything to get your business and screw you when you leave. He doesn't even know what a "Master Mechanic" is so he's not well certified in his craft either.
