Weve probably all had the unfortunate experience of taking our car into a mechanic and not receiving the best service. Sometimes it feels like the mechanics/owners themselves could use a mechanic. I feel like I was ripped off or mistreated by a business at Kwik Kar Lube & Auto Center 1949 E. Frankford Carrollton, TX 75007. The owner name is Bob.
Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act includes some sections that deal with auto repairs, under this law, it is illegal to: 1. Knowingly make a false or misleading statement about the need for parts, replacement or repair service. 2. State that work has been done or parts were replaced when that is not true.
Never once I gave authorization to begin repair work on my car, they dont even call me regarding authorization and work is done less than 2.5 hrs. The owner said that I was not charged for parts or service but was charged for 2 hours of labor $90 each of diagnostic test totaling $180, even though he cant provide me with any diagnostic codes. Legally speaking the business had to obtained a copy of the inspection authorization forms with my signature on it, which I never provide it to Kwik Kar Lube at 1949 E. Frankford Carrollton, TX. Repair shop has violated the law so I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office; this business is not register with BBB. Open your eyes to see the truth, dont go to this shop!
