i took my ford to kwik kar to do a oil change, tire rotation. i think i got the oil change but i will never know for sure. at least my oil pressure is showing up ok.

i do know that my tires were never actually rotated because i still saw the same spots on my rims that were on the two front tires. i saw this because i had mud spots on my two front tires, and i saw the same one on my front left tire that was there before they did the rotation. the same tire was still messy.

i also noticed that my right front tire still had dirty spots on it while the back rims had none before i took it in. my tires were for sure not rotated but i was still charged. they even told me that my brakes needed to be done because the pads were starting to look worn down. i just had my pads replaced two weeks earlier by the shop that sold my ford to me.

it is a 2004 model so i just had them replaced because the manual said i should. by the way the ford was bought new about 8 months before. when i told them that dont want to have brakes fixed again because i just had them done thats when they gave me a bad face. they looked at me funny and told me i would be sorry because i dont have my brakes fixed. they are fixed already. so the kwik kar klan wants to charge me to have my brakes redone but dont want to rotate my tyres.

i paid for the rotation and they dont even do it. shame on you kwik kar. why do you do this sort of stuff. kwik kar should pay me for the hurt i had to go thru for there mistake. stuped kwik kar.

Mark Your Tires

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, June 05, 2004

I lightly mark my tires so I know they were rotated and placed in the correct position. I also take them to a place, NTB or Discount Tire where I can watch them do the work, spin balance or whatever else. Whenever they see you watching them work, they pay more attention and usually do a better job. If parts are replaced I want to see the old ones. I have found these chain stores to be more willing to do work that isn't needed. Good luck.
