Kwik Kar Ryan, Store Manager Two cracked front rotor in two weeks! Frisco Texas
I took my van to this shop for maintenance work. He told me that I need to replace front wheel brake pads. I agreed to that and he installed lifetime brake pads in front wheel. It was on a saturday. I took my van to his next Saturday for state inspection. He told me my front wheel rotor cracked and need he replacement. I asked why he did not replaced the rotor on previous Saturday when they replaced the brake pad. He told me the rotor was fine and did not need replacement that time (previous Saturday). I was reluctant to agree to that but he told me me you need to replace the rotor, otherwise the car will not pass state inspection. He replaced front rotors and I drove the car home. Following week while my wife was driving the van, she complained about the brake making excessive noise. I look closely to both front wheel brake pads. To my surprise I saw the same rotor that he replaced, cracked again. So, in summary I have broke after they install the brake pads and new rotor broke again within a week. I think they botched the brake pad installation the first time that my old rotor to brake and did the same bad brake installation with the new rotor.
