Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hills ripoff on recall service Anaheim California
I drove my 1995 Range Rover to Land rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center on April 19, because of the Land Rover Recall and I have a warning light indicated that the air suspension was not working. Specifically, the air suspension was stuck on only one height. The car is at Safe height and level. Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center department called a few days later to let me know that I needed a sensor for the right rear to make the air suspension fully functional. The quoted was $522.44. I approved the work over the phone.
On the 25th, Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center called and told me every thing was done and the car was ready. I came in on the 26th paid for the repair and then waited more than one half hour for the car. Instead of getting my car, the car was pulled into a service bay. The car now had a different problem. The back end of the car was high and the front end was low. Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center kept the car.
On the 28th, Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center called again. This time I was told that the car needed three major parts in suspension. I was given only two choices. The first was to spend $3-$4 thousand to put in the new parts or get rid of air suspension altogether for $1400-$1500. All of this is to fix a problem that did not exist when I drove the car in for repair.
On the 29th I received a call from the Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center to either have the repairs done and pay for them or tow the car from the dealership.
Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hill service center claims they fixed the car on April 21. And the sat at their lot for four days. And that is when the problems happen. It is not credible. If they finish on April 21 then why waited till April 25 to call me to come down to pick the car. And in company's response, They did not mention the factory recall service that was also done. Was it done after the suspension repair or after?
All of the Parts they claim is bad now is all under the car near the rear where the gas tank is located. And the Factory recall that prompted me to bring the car to the dealer is to replace the gas tank. Which would necessitated a fair amount of work under the back end of the car.
Now I don't have my car, I am out of $522.44 worth of repair that made the car un-driveable.
All this is from a Factory Dealer and not a small shop.
