Langua World Crazy owner essentially forces you to break all her "rules" so you are gypped out of your money The unreasonable owner makes it impossible to schedule classes, and then takes your money , Vermont
Where to begin? This was the worst experience I've ever had with a business. Sandrine owns this "school". She is pretty crazy. You can read other reports of her on this website talking about how unreasonable she is. She even responds to the reports which I think shows how nuts she is! Obviously there wouldn't be so many reports if she and her business weren't scams.
So I signed up to be tutored because I wanted to learn from a trained professional how to speak a language. I also have an odd schedule, so I wanted the flexibility that comes with a tutor. LANGUA WORLD IS THE WRONG PLACE!!
First of all, Sandrine won't let you exchange contact information with the tutor. You have to schedule through her. At one tutor session, my tutor and I casually discussed when we would meet next and afterwards, Sandrine yelled at the tutor for doing so. Sandrine offers you two time slots and if they don't fit, then you don't get to go to that week's session. If you do schedule a time and have to change it, you have to change it 5 DAYS IN ADVANCED. Why have a tutor if there is no flexibility to the scheduling? And then, if you don't put all the session into 5 weeks, they don't give you the rest of your sessions, which is stupid because it's not my fault if my tutor can't meet!
Sandrine basically has a million arbitrary rules so that you HAVE to break them so that she can take your money and run. She's incredibly rude too. She calls you a liar even though she's the one lying the whole time.
Also, she tapes the sessions to make sure the tutor doesn't break any rules! (p.s. the tutors think Sandrine is crazy! They are scared of her! Trust me, I know this.)
Also, my tutor was sweet but wasn't very good at english, making it hard to learn anything else.
BY FAR, the worst language school ever. Go somewhere else unless you like giving your money away to crazy people.
