Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I signed up with the crazy lady who seems to change names, schools, and locations on a constant basis trying to outrun her ruptutation.

Her business is for sale online, and no wonder.

I signed up for french classes and she immediately canceled them.  She told me she would call when classes started.  Somehow, each week, she had another excuse.  I demanded my money back and she said there was no refund after classes started -- which is odd because classes never started. That's right, classes never started and this woman kept my money for classes, adn well as the extraordinary amount of $125 for books - for a 4-week class!

I hope people google this cazy woman and her businesses before they part with their money.  I found one other person who has sued this woman and have been told she still refuses to return his money.

If you look at her email it is nw registered overseas and she is connected with Amity Language school.

This is a guarenteed ripoff!  stay away

Not Amity - But no refunds

These rebuttals do not seem genuine.  If you read across all of the ripoff reports it is clear there is a problem with refunds/cancelations -- both as reported by students and employees.  The fact that someone would suddenly change their work practices is unbelievable.  Why would any language class allow you to cancel just because you thought you had too much on your plate?  And then, offer you a free class to boot?  No language school could possibly survive with this revenue model.

These fake rebuttals are so obvious because like the one above they go extremely overboard.  Both a refund and a free class?  Common sense says that is not what happened.

The original complaint again mentioned Amity Language.  There was a posting by a teacher who used the wording "Learn French NY" in her rippoff report.  Sadly, there is a distinction between LearnFrenchNY.com and LearnFrenchNewYork.com   -- one is a reputable school who is innocently caught in this battle, and the other is the never-ending caldron of drama that is Sandrine Samperi le Plenier Lou Lou.

Langua World refunded me upon my request even though I signed a non-refund policy

I reconsidered taking the language classes that I registered and paid for at Langua World because I am a graduate student and already have a heavy course load. After asking for a refund from Langua World, they refunded me for the course and also offered me one free language course. I appreciate the accommodations that Langua World has made for me.

Langua World Wonderful Spanish, German and French classes

#5Consumer Suggestion

Hi, I am reading these reports and would like to share my experience. Our company based in NYC offered us this year to take language classes at work: Spanish, German and French. We decided to work with Langua World. I can only be grateful for the classes we have received so far, Langua World's policy is clear and straight forward. I suggest that you read the policy before signing it so it avoid any types of miss-understanding. I have taken language classes before and never had such great teachers, Langua World's owner also teaches classes which explains how well her teachers are trained. My advice to you is if you want to learn a language, you need to come to class and if you cannot, then you need to respect the cancellation policy. Most businesses now days have a cancellation policy, we do too at work.

Thanks again Sandrine for coordinating our classes!
