Complaint Review: Larry I Linksman /FKA LAWRENCE I. LINKSMAN - New York New York

 I engaged the services of BRIDGE FUNDING AND LARRY LINKSMAN FKA/ LAWRENCE I. LINKSMAN, bridgefunding.com to refinance my commercial property. I had a former problem tenant, but I had recently replaced the tenant with a new AAA national chain tenant with a long term lease. I paid Larry Linksman a $45,000.00, supposedly a refundable due diligence fee to be further applied to a finance fee at the closing. Larry Linksman assured me with my new national brand AAA tenant that new financing would be fast, easy and with favorable terms. Unfortunately, Larry Linksman did not succeed. In fact the day Larry Linksman cashed my check was that last time I had a full conversation with Larry Linksman. Larry Linksman then had his assistant Elmarene Horton or his son Gregg Linksman answer my calls and make excuses for why Larry Linksman couldn’t speak to me. At one point I was so frustrated that Larry Linksman had not returned my calls in 9 days that I went to Larry Linksman office without an appointment and Larry Linksman ushered me out of the office to the street corner to “smoke a cigarette” (he smokes- I don’t) when he told me that my loan documents were being reviewed by one of his partners Sal Zizza. I was astonished- a partner I asked? You have a partner? Yes a silent partner said Linksman “he is a guy who gets thing done in this town” as Linksman says this he gives me a crooked nose gesture and I say to Linksman when someone does that Larry are you implying the mob? And Linksman laughs and say no he’s in the garbage and loan business he owns Metropolitan Recycling in Brooklyn. Linksman then asked for my cell phone and dials Sal Zizza phone number and hangs up. Linksman tells me to call this Sal Zizza at 10 am the following day. I’m apprehensive but I need to refinance my building and I paid Linksman $45,000.00 so I call.

Sal Zizza could not be nicer but he was not interested in me or my loan. Sal Zizza tells me his life story and that he has $100 million dollar projects to do and I my loan would be a “distraction”. I call Linkman at his office and I left a message. I never spoke to Larry Linksman again and after the street encounter I would never go back to his office again. Larry Linksman does not run an investment fund! He is just a middleman, a hondler, or broker pretending to run an investment fund. Larry Linksman just calls up investors looking for money and makes presentations to investors to obtain funding and takes a fee. Larry Linksman has had many financial problems that are of public record in the past and present including getting sued by his former partners, foreclosures personal and business, lawsuits from partners, investors, clients and Linksman was even sued by the United States Small Business Administration. Linksman and another partner Stephen Hyman had a predecessor company to Bridge Funding that was called Fundex Capital Corporation and they were sued and taken over by a US government receiver for not paying the US government on $8,500,000 in loan payments that Fundex was collecting/servicing for the Small Business Administration. .gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOURTS-ned-8_09-mc-00115/pdf/USCOURTS-ned-8_09-mc-00115-0.pdf 7:09-cv-09222-CS United States of America v. I did not do my due diligence and I lost my money. I should have just googled this scammer! I signed a contract with him with the terms Linksman provided.

Larry Linksman will not return my deposit/retainer, my emails or calls. I found out that Larry Linksman was eventually evicted from his office at 535 Fifth Avenue Suite 260 New York, NY 10017 and has now relocated to a “new office” a small office at 545 Fifth Avenue Suite 403 New York, NY 10017. The “Westchester Office” located at 50 Main Street Suite 1000 White Plains, NY 10604 is just a mail drop! Eventually, I obtained new financing from a local savings bank. Larry Linksman has a slick website and “talks a good game” but it is all big talk, smoke and mirrors. I would not recommend using Bridge Funding or Larry Linksman at all for any type of investment or financing. He is a scammer a fraud. Do your due diligence check the internet, google and the RipOff Report!!!
