On a Thursday we had our 87 new yorker quit on us. it would statr and then would die after accelerating and letting off of the gas, it would then take ten minutes before it would start again. Our insurance had the car towed to Sundance Dodge. I explained all of the symptoms to the service writer, Bob Waterfield, all he wrote down is the car will not idle. On Friday morning the dealership called me and stated that they had fixed the problem by replacing a spark plug. I did not think that this was the problem, but took their word that the car would work. The dealership had charged $78 to change the spark plug. I drove two blocks before the car died at a major and very busy intersection.evidently the technician never test drove the car to be sure it was working. I called the dealership and they sent a tow truck after the car. After having them check the car again it was determined that the fuel pump was going out. I was told that the charge would be $405, but that they would take the $78 off of the bill leaving a bill of $327. After having to go to the general manager I was able to get a vehicle to drive,he also stated that he would adjust the bill for the mistake that they made and for my troubles that they caused. while they repaired the vehicle, which I was told would be two hours. Four hours later the car was finally repaired. When I received the bill the bill was $300, a whole $27 off of what I was told, the dealership had the nerve to bill me for the towing that was clearly caused by them. for a original bill of $405 I ended up paying $378 with the two bills this is not what I would call taking care of the customer after they had made several mistakes. If the service writer had written all of the symptoms, instead of worrying about leaving the repair may have been done right the first time, the technician should also always test drivea vehicle before having the customer take delivery of the car. I strongly recommend that anyone stay away from the Larry Miller Dealerships.

Well, Ray, you are one of the lucky ones. Larry Miller's dealerships operate on a business model that is pretty simple: There's a sucker born every minute. There seems to be no moral objection to utilizing any type of con as long as it adds to the bottom dollar. I recommend you look at more of the threads (Such as MY STORY http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff58333.htm ) and try to ameliorate the problems others are having with your good old boys mentality. Good luck on continuing your honest treatment at their hands. Have you ever reviewed your invoices?

12 Years of Excellent Service at Larry Miller Sundance Dodge - Boise

I am sorry the person with the 1987 New Yorker had an apparent bad experience at Larry Miller Sundance Dodge in Boise. That has certainly not been my experience. Over the past 12 years I have had a 1988 Plymouth Voyager, 2000 Durnago, 2000 Jeep and 1991 Nissan serviced there and they have saved me $1,000's of dollars in free service, telling me things I didn't need done, etc. I have found the service team there of Ken, Bob, Steve and others to be some of the highest integrity and honesty I've found anywhere and gladly recommend people frequent their service department.
