Larry Shaffer Took payment for landscaping and walkway paving, then only finished half the work Columbus, Ohio
Larry Shaffer and his associates came out to estimate how much it would cost to re-lay pavers around the side of our house. He recommended many additional projects (tree pruning, powerwashing) which needed done, but were not our priority.
He brought a crew over to do those projects and prepare the walkway, took payment, plus about 25% to start and finish the walkway later in the week, then never showed up. I called and talked to him repeatedly for weeks and he always promised to show up and finish the work. He broke his promises 8 times and blamed the rainy weather often. After 4 weeks of waiting for his return, I called him and he had his cell phone disconnected with no new number to reach him. He still has yet to contact us, finish the work, or reimburse us about $200 for undone work.

Shaffer ended up returning with his right-hand man, Josh, to complete the walkway
paving he had originally quoted us. Josh was cordial and eager to make things
right through quality work. We were happy with the workmanship of the two
walkways he layed around our home yesterday and today. All in all, Josh
provided nice work for a fair price and I was glad to post this update toward
his and Larrys names.
