A few days ago I was contacted by a company by the name of Derm FX, who claimed that they are in no way associated with the Laser Shaping Centers, and that they are more than willing to apply any amount of money that I had paid to the Laser Shaping Center towards the treatments that they are offering. (the treatments are suppose to be the same as the ones offered by the Laser Shaping Center) I research the company and found that the same Dr. that worked for the Laser Shaping Center in Costa Mesa is currently operating this Derm FX Center on Pacific Coast Hwy. What a coincident. I firmly believe that the Laser Shaping Center is operating again under this new name. I will certainly investigate to see if this is the case. In the meantime, I still can't get Care Credit to reverse the charges. They claimed that they are also investigating. I am still out of $3,186.00.

You have learned an expensive lesson on why you should have checked on the centers qualifications, how long thery had been in business, how many doctor's in the center etc....... Here is a tip that might help out. A qualified center would have given you paperwork on the center. Look for anything on the paperwork with the Doctor's names on it. Go after the specfic doctor. Check out your local tax assessors office. That is public information and you should be able to track them to their personal address. It sounds as if the center went bankrupt, which happens alot at these smaller centers. That is why it is generally safer to go to a larger hospital, where it is less likely that they will go out of business. Good luck, I hope you can find some Dr.'s names on the paperwork. Generally these type of Dr's will surface at another local center. Cat
