I was shopping for a 1972 Chevell on ebay. I found this 1972 Chevelle, advertised to be "one of the nicest 72 Chevelles he had ever seen." The Chevelle was advertised: Real Deal 454 Build Sheet 1972 Chevorlet Cheelle SS Auto AC ps pb Stunning. We were not able to "win" the car through ebay auction, however were able to purchase directly from Dan at Classics by Lash/ Lash Auto Sale. He instructed us to send the deposit of $500 through pay pal, the balance by bank to bank wire transfer, which we did.
His judgement of cars is not the same as mine. The horn did not work, one headlight non functional, air conditioner practically non functional, cigarette lighter appeared to have been on fire-burning the dash, the gas gauge does not work, and gear ratio is off-spedometer off by 10 miles per hour. These problems are fixable, HOWEVER the main issue is:
They have yet to send the build sheet. I have spoken with different individuals there at least 15 times, each time they assured me they would send the build sheet. I did get a copy of the build sheet, however is difficult to read, and I am beginning to doubt is authenticity.
