Complaint Review: laura long - jacksonville North Carolina

Laura Long, apparently also formally known as laura patterson is located in jacksonville nc, and claims to be currently running a company called crystal coast cleaning company. she advertises her services on lejeune yard sales, claiming years of experience, licenced, bonded, insured ext. She does NOT include her lisc verification or any information about her credidation. I wish i would have looked her up before allowing her to clean my home.

She quoted me an amount to come in and clean my location for a deep move out clean. she had one other person with her. a female whos name i did not recieve. she contacted me later that eveing to inform me of all the services she performed and how she got down and dirty getting the place spotless.

i went back to the location the following day to find she hadnt done much of anything. the visable things had been done, window sills wiped, fans wiped, and place was vacummed and swept. however, apon further inspection, i found she did not clean my bathroom, nor did she clean the appliances she agreed to clean. she not only left me a huge mess to finish cleaning, she lied about the great work she did.

i proceeded to put a stop payment on the check i left at the residence for her because i am not about to pay for a service i did not recieve. she proceeded to contact me and threaten my husbands job (to whom she had never met nor knew his name) im assuming this was in hopes of scaring me since he is military. she also claimed over and over i would be charged for felony charges for writing a bad check. i contacted her back explaining i cancelled the check because she didnt complete the services. she became hysterical threatening me to court and rambling off all sorts of legal jargin im assuming in attempts to scare me into payment.

she claimed to take before and after pictures of everything she cleans and had over 300 pictures of my location. she also advised me that she had an issue with the girl i met who helped her clean my house, and she has since fired her (tuesday feb 22, 2011) she changed her story from the night she spoke about her cleaning, to the story that the other girl is the one who cleaned the areas that i complained about. however she still wanted payment for her services, as she was there for over 3 hours and i was paying for her time, not her work.

i met her and agreed to pay for what she did clean and recieved a signed reciept for cash payment. i have since found out about this laura patterson being her alias suposidly.

she had me come to her residence a few days prior, which is the same residence listed at sioux dr. she also claimed her husband was desceased and she rented her home out to 4 people who rented her rooms. the storys she told me match those of the other ones on the forum.

i am located in jacksonville nc and i am trying to locate anyone who has any more information on her, because i went through harrassment and threats for days and i dont want someone else to deal with this mess!! i am still waiting to hear from the person who steam cleaned my carpets that she works with (prescision carpet cleaners) because she said i would have to pay him for his services as well since the check i wrote was no good.

please contact me by email (((email redacted))) with any information or advice. i have her address, have been to her home and inside, have her current number, and advertisements for services online, as well as her current business liscence she JUST recieved yesterday according to records (which she claims she just renewed)

i also called her laura patterson while speaking to her over texts, to which she responded my last name is not patterson, it is long.

is this the same girl? and could the mystery person be her sister? the other girl was significatly shorter than laura, while still overweight, she was not as large as laura, they both had similar facial features, brown hair, not sure on eye color.
