A few months after moving into Lawsons Place I would chat with the neighbors and would hear horror stories about the property manager!!! At first, I didnt believe them!!! Ohhh but that changed very qiuckly!! I would come home after work and have notes on my door saying that the trash can had to be put behing the unit immediately after the trash truck had ran!!! I was at work when it came so that was impossible! Then there were notes saying that the garage door can only be open one hour a day, and for only pulling cars in or leaving out!!! I said ok thats fine. Later, the bigger things started!!! I wanted to move because i was just really fed up with all the little notes and the property manager harrassing my kids about the pool. One day she told my 17 year old daughter that she was not 17 and she was not my daughter and that she was lying to get in the pool!!!! Now that pissed me off!!!. I started doing research then about the place. I found out from numerous people that If I moved I would NOT get my security deposit back and that the property manager would make sure of that. Well well well...it has come to pass!! After waiting 30days i called about my security deposit and she told me that the stove and behind the washer had to be cleaned so I wouldnt get my deposit back. Ok i have always gotten my security deposit back from previous owners with no problem. It wasnt like there was anything to repair!!! So tell me again, normal wear and tear you dont get your security deposit back????? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!!!

You should file against the landlord in small claims court. If you did not get an itemized accounting of why your security deposit was witheld within 30 days of moving out, you stand a good chance of getting it all back.
