On July 25, 2016, I received a letter from the SFMTA (San Francisco Municiple Transportation Agency) notifying me of a parking violation. It showed the date, June 27, 2016. My license number. My type of car, the type of violation and the street name and time of the violation. The amount was $68 and the statement on it said, if your vehicle was not parked at this location at the time of issuance or for questions related to this citation, please call LDC Collections Systems at 800-982-9005 or 415-345-2380.

Since my car is new, I've never driven it to San Francisco and since I live in Southern California, I thought how did I get a ticket. I looked at my planner and I was at Costco shopping at the time of this ticket. I called the 800 number. She said, ticket number. I gave it to her and she said ok, do you have an issue? I said, yes I have an issue. How did I get a ticket in a city in a car that has never been to that area? I said, I need to look into this and she said, can you hold? I said yes, 10 seconds later, she replied. That ticket was given in error. Sorry and that was it.

I cannot believe the the SFMTA allows this crap to go on. Shame on them.
