Leading Edge Display Never shipped sign that was paid for upfront Houston, Texas
I bought a sign from Mike Andersaon at Leading Edge Displays on August 13, 2012. The cost was $16,700 and was told if I paid up front I would get an additonal 5% off so I did. Luckily I paid with my AMEX card to protect myself.
I was promised a deliver date of September 7, 2012. After I placed the order I called the other company that had given me a competitive proposal to let them know that I would not be using them. They asked who I bought the sign from and I told them Leading Edge Displays. They said that they had never heard of them. Within 30 minutes they called me back to say that I should do a little more investigation into the company because of a bad reputation.
I immediately called Mike Anderson and told him that I saw that him and his dad, John Anderson, had another company selling LED signs that had gone out of business in 2009 and many people lost their money. He explained to me why they had gone out of business and promised that my sign would be delivered. I believed him decided to wait to see if I would receive the sign.
When the September 7 came and went I tried reaching Mike Anderson with no success. The receptionist just kept telling me that he was with a client and he would call me back. He had given me his cell phone when I placed the order so I began calling it from different numbers.
He finally answered one day and told me that he and the rest of the sales team had quit because they were being told lies by John Anderson, his father, and the other managers of production. He did say that my sign was ordered and suggested that I call his father, John Anderson, on his cell phone which he provided to me.
I was able to reach John Anderson on his cell phone and he apologized and promised me that the sign was shipping that day, September 14, and that he was going to call me back with the Bill of Lading and the shipping companies information. He never called back.
I proceeded to call his cell phone and the office everyday the following week and I could never get through to him again. I then began calling his cell at different times from different numbers and finally he answered. I told him what I thought and he again apologized and told me that he the sign and I could have a refund and could pay once I recieved it. He told me that he was going to call me that afternoon again with shipping information.
Needless to say he never called back and I filed a charge back with AMEX. Do not do business with Leading Edge Displays or John Anderson. They are a scam and complete liars.
